Hi Hi Splinterlands Lovers,

Welcome back to my blog, @queen-silvia, In this Battle weekly Challenge, I am going to share to all of you a strategy about where Antoid Platoon should be placed and in which ruleset we have to use this monster due to his ability. Overall, This monster has 4 mana, same as Cerberus but Antoid Platoon has Shield and Scavenger ability which makes him so special in some rulesets. - BEST POSITION FOR ANTOID PLATOON -

Alright, above picture shows us where Antoid Platoon will be the best to be put in. There are 2 option, the first one is in the first position since most of the attack, either melee or ranged attack are going to the first position. The Shield ability will reduce both attack (halved and rounded up).

The second position is in the last position (6th) in the super sneak ruleset. This need to be done as all of the opponent's melee monsters will be able to able to attack monster in the last position. The shield ability will halve their attack.

- WHEN TO USE ANTOID PLATOON -

Basically all the ruleset which are "deadly" is suitable with Antoid Platoon since he has the Scavenger ability, so whenever monster dies (either opponent side or friendly monster) The health point of Antoid Platoon will increase by +1. Here are the "deadly ruleset" :

The battle costs 22 mana and 2 kind of rulesets, Explosive Weaponry and Super sneak ruleset, which means that all melee monsters will be able to attack the opponent's monster in the last position. The explosive weaponry will make the battle more intense, higher speed is the key in the battle.

All Melee attack Monsters have the Sneak ability. Choose a summoner that increases/reduces Melee attack or Mylor. Keep a monster with Shield, Retaliate or Thorns in the last position.

All Monsters have the Blast ability. The best strategy is to have fast monsters with Snipe, Sneak, Opportunity. For defence, Shield and Void will come in handy.

- Summoner -

Malric Inferno

I used this summoner because he gives additional 1 melee attack to all of friendly monster. Since the ruleset is super sneak, melee monsters attack would be very crucial, so additional melee attack will be very important and this is the job for Malric Inferno. His mana is 3 only so we can save mana to build strong team in the battlefield.

- Monster -

Serpentine Soldier (1).png
Serpentine Soldier

He is one of the best fire tank monster since his abilities are shield and dodge. The shield ability will reduce the melee and ranged attack as both damage will be halved and rounded up. While Dodge ability will increase the chance of evading melee or ranged attack by opponents. the chance will be higher if we set monster with swiftness or slow ability. I used to set him along with Goblin Shaman, Supply runner, Flame imp or Creeping Ooze.

Cerberus

The second monster is Cerberus. He is one of my favourite fire tank monster too since he has great abilities such as Heal and Retaliate at Lv. 6. The super sneak ability will allow him to attack from the second position. He will take the role as the main tank monster in case of Serpentine Soldier is being killed. Serpentine has no heal ability so Cerberus is more immortal compared to Serpentine.

Goblin Shaman (1).png
Goblin Shaman

The third monster is Goblin Shaman. His main role is to reduce the speed of enemies since he has slow ability. another skill is weaken which is also reducing the health point of enemies. both skills are very useful in order to attack the enemies first so that the chance to win the battle is higher. I often put him in the second or third as I want him to be a tank monster in case of the previous tank monsters are being killed.

Serpentine Spy (1).png
Serpentine Soldier

The forth monster is Serpentine Soldier. At Lv.6 he only has opportunity ability which allowed him to attack monster with the lowest health point. This ability is so powerful as we can reduce the number of opponent's monster very quickly. Another Serpentine Soldier is his speed, he has 5 speed in Lv.6 which makes him attack first in the battlefield.

Antoid Platoon

The forth next monster is Antoid Platoon. The main monster in this article 😄. Alright, as I was mentioned it earlier, at Lv.8, he has Scavenger and Shield ability. I put him in the fifth position as I have anticipated that the opponent will most likely attack the last monster so wee need to put monster with shield ability to halve melee attack. In the "deadly ruleset" we will see how Antoid Platoon health points increased whenever a monster died.

Scorch Fiend (1).png
Scorch Fiend

Scorch Fiend has 0 mana so I used this monster as a sacrifice so that the Antoid Platoon could have more time before he is being attacked by the opponent's melee monsters. Besides, he has 2 melee attack (additional 1 was given by Malric Inferno) so not only for the defensive purposes, but he can give 2 melee damage for 1 turn to the opponent in the last position.

- BATTLE ANALYSIS -

Round 1

In the first round of the battle, Death splinter gives lots of de-buff to the fire splinter. Demoralize, headwinds, slow and weaken are given to Malric's team, While Goblin Shaman gives Slow and weaken only. In this match, Scorch Fiend died after getting hit by Harklaw.

Round 2

In this round, Fire team has successfully killed Undead Priest, Fallen Specter and Shadowy Presence thanks to the effect of Explosive Weaponry. Fire team has higher speed so they are attacking and killed the enemy first. In this round, Goblin Shaman was also being killed after getting blast of 2 magic attack.

Round 3

In this round Screaming Banshee died after getting blast ability from Cerberus melee attack to Crypt Beetle. Now it's 3 vs 2.

Round 4

Serpentine Spy died after getting blast effect from Harklaw attack to Antoid Platoon. The match now consisted of 2 fire monsters and 2 death monsters. It looks balance since both team has shield ability.

Round 5 - 9

In these matches The blast effect has no impact since death splinter has shield and fire splinter has heal ability. In every round, Crypt Beetle health point reduced by 1 since Cerberus melee attack is 2. Crypt Beetle died in round 9.

Round 10 - 17

The same thing goes to Harklaw, his health point was reduced by 1 in each round and then died in the end of battle. Malric team won the match.
