Welcome back to my blog, @queen-silvia. In this post, I am going to share how I won $17 💸 from non-SPS tournament 🏛 using free money as rental cost. Non-SPS Tournaments are some tourneys that being conducted by non Splinterlands team. There are many Non-SPS weekly Tournament. Some of them which are always coming up 💯 every week shown in below table :

We can grab $15 - $20 if we can win many non-SPS tournament weekly so not only increasing our battle ⚔️ skills but we can also earn some money 💸 to give our rental cost back or use it to buy more cards and increase our card collection. Among six of the tournaments above, I always participated in Crypto-Zard, BunsBagsandCaps, Clove71 and YGG SPL Weekend Challenge 💪 tournament because the opponents are relatively stronger than WOO Saturday Slam and Beginner's Training Tournament, so whenever I lose the battle, I have new strategies to learn and put it in my notes.

Alright guys, let's start the discussion with the first sub-topic :

For this topic, let's focus on my scholar account 🎓 which regularly playing for silver and bronze league, agentsilvia. The account almost has no cards 💳 to play, the cards that agentsilvia owned are only a few reward cards that we can see it at peakmonsters web here. So as the compensation, my friend sent 36000 SPS to the account so that it can generate free SPS ♥️ and Vouchers 💳 (through SPS staking) and GLX ⚽️ token, as all players who staked SPS also received free GLX token everyday. Here is the picture of staked SPS in the SPS section :

Up to April 11, 2023, the APR 📈 given for the staked SPS is 21.8% and if we refer to the SPS calculator at splintercards.com after putting the number of SPS and GLX staked, we can see how much "FREE" token we earned daily and it's current value as given below :

We can see the daily rewards at the middle of the picture above, the daily rewards from SPS staking are 13.434 SPS ♥️, 18.002 GLX ⚽️ and 1.314 Voucher 💳 while the daily reward from GLX staking are 1.945 GLX ⚽️ and 0.071 GLGT. If we combined the daily rewards value of both SPS and GLX staking, we got $0.84 per day. I only play Splinterlands when it comes to Brawl 🤺 and Tournament 🏛 only (once a week) so the total rewards every week (for free) is : $0.84 x 7 = $5.88. This is enough funds to rent all silver modern decks to join all silver and bronze tournaments 🤺.

Well, The price of GLX is fluctuating 📉 just like some other cryptocurrencies. However in the past month, the price of GLX tends to keep going down 📉 since there's no real utility yet for GLX ⚽️ and people keep selling GLX for various purposes. Therefore, if you want to convert some GLX, you might want to do it right away ⚡️ because the price is most likely going down in the next day (unless the Genesis League Sport announces the utility for GLX ⚽️ which may rise its demand. As for the comparison, the price of GLX last month was $0.032 and now it's $0.016. 😭

How I converted the daily rewards into DEC?

Well, First all all I transferred all the tokens into hive engine. In the Splinterlands web game, there's an option to transfer SPS and voucher through the asset management tab and for the GLX ⚽️ and GLGT, we can also transfer them to Hive engine through transfer button. When all tokens are stored at Hive engine, we can sell 💸 all of them into SWAP.HIVE and then use it to buy DEC. With $5.88 we will get 6426 DEC 🔮 (DEC rate : $0.000915).

The best moment ⏱ to buy cards is when we can get the maximum return by using those cards and of course that would be at the same time ⏱ as when the tournaments, brawl and EOS 🤺 (End of Season) if it's possible because we can get additional Leaderboard prize if we can finish at high rating. Regarding tournament, I have tips so that we can join as many tournament as we can.

For example, since the EOS will be in the next 3 days and 7 hours from now, I would suggest to rent cards exactly at 2 days before EOS 💰 because we can use the cards for the Leaderboard fight 💪 as well, In that case we should join some tournaments that started in the next 1 days and 7 hours. Here are the tournament that will suit with our plan :

Poseidar Silver tourney started in the next 1 day and 12 hours, that's belong to the ranged of 1 day and 7 hours so we should join this tournament and the whole tournaments in the period of our rental cards (which is 2 days). In my opinion, getting rental cost back 💸 is very important and crucial because we really need that funds to rent cards in the next brawl or tournament so keep in mind that we have to use the cards carefully. If we ended up finished at the good spot 🥇, we can save some profits 💸 from the tournament. In the next chapte, I will show you how I got $17 from several non-SPS tournaments.

Well, for some people maybe $17💸 is not that much but in my opinion, we are in the bear market 🐻 currently and that reward from the game (weekly) is not too bad I think, because we are playing game, we don't work very hard to get that amount of money. So I am fine with it XD.

Alright, here are some of the tournaments that I have won last week (Non-SPS Tournaments) :

WOO Saturday Slam and Crypto-Zard tournament are always being held weekly and what makes Crypto Zard Tournament interesting 😮 is because there are couple of tournaments 💯 in each week (not only one), so we can participate to all of them according to our deck. Another tournament which always being held regularly is BunsBagsandCaps Tournament but unfortunately I couldn't win any of that tourneys so I can't put it in the table above.

Afterall, SPS tournament is still giving the highest prize 💰 as of now as it's providing hundreds until thousands of SPS 💸 for those who finished at pretty good rank but non-SPS tournament is also worth to try because the opponents are relatively not as strong as the players in SPS tournaments. So I would say it's easier to win at Non-SPS tournament.
