A TRUE STORY THAT INSPIRED ME

Hello guys!

I thought to share an inspiring story that I felt is daring and encouraging to persons who are unable to take apt decisions in their life issues and situations. An individual that is above eighteen years has a legal right of Independence and can be charged for his or her actions because it's believe that at that age, an individual is fit to be responsible for his or her actions.

A true life story of a lady born into the family of six, three siblings (all boys). The family has low value for the female gender and I can say that they were literally practicing male child preference. If you aren't a member of the extended family or a family friend, you'll not know that she's the second child and might likely mistaken to be a maid.

Her mother believes that the a female child has a major role in the family encompassing; cooking, mopping, washing dishes and tidying the house while the boys had a television mounted in the room with free access to any channel of their choice. When the women were done cooking, they'll dish the food and knock at the 'boys room' as they'll call it; the boys will stroll out and pick their food and return into their room. The only thing they'll seldomly do is wash their plates and that will be on days when they're not seeing a movie because if they were, they'll drop it and get right back to their show.

The female child's name was PRAISE. Praise grew to a matured and beautiful lady. A man in the assembly she worshipped liked her and communicated his intentions of marriage to her but her mother objected to that when she heard it. She wanted her daughter to be married to the priest's first son who was not interested in Praise and was not intending to settle down anytime soon.

Out of love, the man waited for Praise till she was done with her University and her NYSC (National Youth Service Corp). Before this time, praise lost her father to death. The young man went in person to officially project his intentions to Praise's mother and the family but the mother gave the man deaf ears by walking out of him. Praise's elder brother in his right senses said that he wants his sister to have her master's degree and doctorate degree before she's married.

Praise at this time was 26. She relocated to another city in that same state and was oppourtuned to meet person's and also fellowshipped with brethren and one of the things she was encouraged to do was to take her rightful stands in her life decisions. When Praise's father died, the mother accused the husband's sibling for being responsible for her husband's dead and warned the children to beware of them as they might seize their properties. So Praise was not in good terms with her relatives, she really wanted to marry this man and the mother wouldn't give her such approval.

One day, she decided to meet with all her aunt's and uncle's to apologize for the misunderstanding and they all promised to have her back in whatever decision she'll take. Guess what, praise fixed a date for her marriage, Invited her immediate family but non of them showed up. It was so sad that the only mother you have, while alive will treat you that way. she believes it's a manipulation and they'll come around someday. She became an inspiration to many who are bound by wicked authorities that do not wish them good.
People can guide and direct your steps but shouldn't take the decisions so that you can be responsible for it.
