Weekend Single Life

I remember back then as a child, I hated weekends....in fact once it was Friday, I will start squeezing my face and hoping for some magic for Monday to show forth😂
This was probably because of the house chores that comes during the weekend, you have to wash clothes, do lots of sanitation to keep the house clean, I was a bit lazy then, all I ever wanted was to eat, play and watch cartoons🤦 But the whole story changed immediately I became an adult

Ever since then, I have never cease to be excited about weekends, I mean the thought of me having my rest and time to myself alone won't let me keep calm. Even though, as a freelancer, there is still a lot to clear on my desk during the weekend but the feeling doesn't change.

Last Saturday which was on the 6 of April, was one of the best weekends that I have ever experience because I was home alone 😂
Don't worry, I will explain....I took my kids for weekend to their uncle's place, and the whole thing got me extremely happy because I was once again going to sleep like I was single 😅 my night from Saturday to Sunday was like heavens, to be sincere I slept like a baby

When I woke up on Sunday, I wished the weekend was longer than it was so my children will stay longer and I too will have to enjoy my part time single life though I missed their disturbance but heck yes, I still can't deny the fact that my weekend was awesome without them around

You know, sometimes, these children disturb you as a parent and all you wish is a vacation that you will at least have some rest. I guess that was the state I was in.

Weekends have always been my favorite I guess maybe it's because I'm not really scared of chores. I hardly get rest during the week but at least weekends are a bit better.

Well, I do understand why you cherish your weekends now, children can never let you rest but when they are not there you will miss them but like you said once in a while they should go for holidays 😂.

I love weekends as an adult now because it's that time to relax and be free from work during the week. Children can be disturbing sometimes and when you take them to spend some days at a relative place, you feel like having them around but their noise would make you retreat 😀😀 motherhood journey is a whole lot.
