A Day at Serenity Farm Busay: Cebu Mini Golf Course, Cebu Mini Golf Cafe and The Hobbit House

Last Saturday, December 4, 2021, @hivecebubloggers were invited to Serenity Farm Resort in Busay, Cebu City, thanks to the efforts of @purepinay, to showcase their newest attractions. It was The Hobbit House, Cebu Mini Golf Course, and Cebu Mini Golf Cafe.

We met up with @explorewithsasha, @asasiklause, and @sassycebuana at the Ayala Center Cebu. Depending on traffic, it will probably take 30–40 minutes to get to the location.

Along the way, we met with @hivecebubloggers members @cheerupwithjl, @gerel, @itsmiessyonpeakd, and @purepinay. Inside the van, we talked and briefed each other about the activity for today. We had a lot of fun discussing Hive work whenever we got together. Even though we only had 4 hours to cover everything, we managed to enjoy and make this activity exciting.

The resort is easily accessible via the Cebu Transcentral Highway. If you're traveling in a group or family, you can rent a van like we did, rent motorcycles, or even bring your own vehicle. They have a large parking lot for their visitors.

Upon entering, you will be greeted by the workers who ask for the driver's ID and for your purpose. for security reasons too. There we are instructed where we can park.

You will feel the cold air upon arrival! As you are at a higher altitude, the surroundings are colder compare to the city side. Yes, Serenity Farm Resort is located on Cebu's mountainside. You can expect a spectacular view of the mountains.

Following that, we meet the owner and host for a brief introduction. He told us a story about how he wanted to keep his employees employed during a pandemic, and the idea of building a mini-golf course with a cafe and a hobbit house came to him. It's incredible how much the owner cares about his employees, especially in the midst of this pandemic.

Mini Golf Course by Serenity

So I'd like to show you how Mini Golf looks and how to play it. 😊

You begin by spinning the roulette wheel and then following it. I got "left hand put," so I started it with my left hand. After that, you are free to move around and play. I was probably lucky to only need two attempts in the first level. LOL 😅

Then you can progress to the next level until you reach the end of the golf course.

There was a playground near the end of the course, next to a swimming pool.

Cebu Mini Golf Cafe

After you've finished playing, you can go up to the cafe and try some of their handcrafted coffee lattes, hot or cold.

They are incredibly generous when it comes to serving us dinner and highlighting their main courses on the menu. The Mini Golf Cafe can accommodate large groups, families, and couples.

For me, the most exciting part is the "boodle fight" dish.It's a tray of dishes, all Filipino, with Sisig, chicken skin, pizza, and delectable drinks.

The Hobbit House

We went up to explore and photograph the hobbit house after we were filled and had enjoyed each other's company. It was still under construction at the time and was scheduled to open on December 7, 2021 (but by the time you read this blog, it's already opened).

It's a fantastic getaway for family and friends who want to get away from the city. The view, meal, and experience are all well worth the money.
