⚔️SPLINTERLANDS BATTLE MAGE SECRETS : EARTHQUAKE⚔️
😊Hey Battle Mages!
Welcome back to my untold secrets of a battle mage. We are only 3 days into the new season with 12 more days to go. The battlefield is yet to get brutal as most are recharging their batteries organically. For me I have been battling and collecting those daily quest loot. Surprising to say that most of us players now look forward to collecting potions more than we do for Merits😄. Welp, hope the battlefield has been kind to your my friend.
I have so far shared my approach to Nine (9) Rulesets, here's the last one on 🔮COUNTERSPELL🔮 and I have come to introduce you to another. Splinterlands seeks to sharpen skills by allowing players explore various strategies via rulesets. I have tried to study a few cards especially with the newly introduced rulesets, giving one more reasons to know what cards strongly suits them.
Before the start of any battle, each player is shown what ruleset is allowed in battle and it is extremely beneficial to read and strategize accordingly. The ruleset secret I will be sharing you to in this post is the EARTHQUAKE
EARTHQUAKE RULESET implies that Non-flying Monsters take 2 Melee damage at the end of each round.
With this in mind players must consider the following;
Using monsters with Flying or Heal is the trick for this ruleset.^(a)
if you are unable to choose such monsters, use monsters that have high Health point and high damage.^(b)
This is a very interesting ruleset, and if you follow my battles, MYLOR CROWLING is my go to weapon of destruction.
I especially enjoy either the ruleset or the ability and have a perfect battle to demonstrate it's use and a possible lineup that works for mid mana battle.
A 100% win for me against my enemy was analyzed by the SPLINTERTOOLS.IO. Well, I have won a battle with 0% chance, so I don't fully rely on the analysis but it works for the most part. I will quickly introduce you to these fantastic monsters.
⚔️ TEAM LINE-UP ⚔️
MYLOR CROWLING - SUMMONER
The great MYLOR CROWLING, a summoner with the supernatural ability to grant the Thorns ability. This ability is so deadly that when monsters with it are attacked by melee attackers, it does damage back to the attacker. The awesome fact about this summoner is that, he gives the thorns ability to all monsters on his team, making them even more fierce.
👉WHY I PICKED MYLOR CROWLING
Summoner Mylor Crowling is Anti-Melee, hence, he is particularly effective when you envisage your enemy to come at you with Melee Attack. But, he is also very useful in an earthquake situation as you will want to also deplete the health of your opponent as fast as you can even before earthquake hits them. Also should your enemy have all flying monsters' well, they would still take this thorn damage. All teams having an extra Thorn
will greatly be of help, should any step in first position and come face to face with a Melee attacker.
FAILED SUMMONER - FIRST LINE
FAILED SUMMONER although failed as a summoner, he however has proven himself as an excellent warrior who fights fiercely. He has no attack type, but his +9 health points will take enemies by surprise. His Magic reflect
ability does reduced damage back when hit by magic attack monster. He then Demoralizes
the enemies with melee attack. An 8-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ warrior deserving of his moniker.
👉WHY I PICKED FAILED SUMMONER
if you are unable to choose such monsters, use monsters that have high Health point in front^(b)
Although not a flying Monster, his does have high HP. I picked FAILED SUMMONER mainly because of his ability to reduce the melee attack of all enemy monsters. This will serve a major disadvantage to them.
SWAMP THING -SECOND LINE
SWAMP THING, a 5-star⭐️⭐️⭐️ Epic monster who is very powerful in magic. He goes on to Weaken
the all enemies by reducing their health and then Slows
down enemies by reducing their speed.
👉WHY I PICKED SWAMP THING
I picked SWAMP THING mainly because of 1-speed ability and also his ability to reduce a max health of the enemy. The Slow ability is also perfect against enemy monsters, giving me a speed advantage.
QUEEN MYCELIA - THIRD LINE
QUEEN MYCELIA, a terrifying creature that will attack and kill before her enemy think to blink. She is a 3-star⭐️⭐️⭐️ warrior with magical abilities. In battle, her evil role has a variety of effects, the 'triage' which helps to heal backline team warrior that has taken the most hit. Her ability works well to 'protect' her team by giving them double armor. she 'amplifies' the magic reflect, thorns and return fire ability of her team warriors by +1.
👉WHY I PICKED QUEEN MYCELIA
I picked QUEEN MYCELIA because of her Protect ability which will give all team monsters +2 armor in addition. Also he triage will help protect back line monster and finally her amplify will help make the thorns ability even more effective.
SCREECHING VULTURE - FOURTH LINE
SCREECHING VULTURE is a brutal savage who only takes what it knows rightfully belongs to it. it uses the Flying ability
to fly over enemies with non-flying ability and fiercely attack them and then goes on to Scavenge
for itself the health of every fallen monster, an ability it shares with a few powerful monsters.
This cards attack type is Melee, a Common card and it is part of the Earth unit.
👉WHY I PICKED SCREECHING VULTURE
I picked SCREECHING VULTUTRE because of Scavenging ability. Placing it in backline will be perfect as it is also an accurate opportunist attacker who never misses it's target.
ACID SHOOTER - FIFTH LINE
ACID SHOOTER has two impressive abilities, the Crippling
which causes enemy hit by it to lose 1 max health and the Scattershot
by hitting any random enemy monster.
This cards attack type is Melee, an Epic card and it is part of the Earth unit.
👉WHY I PICKED ACID SHOOTER
I picked ACID SHOOTER obviously because he helps double the damage with both his abilities. You would hope his Scattershot target, hit and weaken the strongest of enemy monsters.
SPIRIT OF THE FOREST- SIXTH LINE
SPIRIT OF THE FOREST can only be summoned to battle by a skilled summoner like MYLOR CROWLING. A 3-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️ warrior who has demonstrated her prowess. Her Flying ability
attacks non-flying enemies fiercely and using her Snipe ability
targets ranged, magic and enemies monsters without an attack type who aren't in first line. Her ability works well to Protect ability
her team by giving them double armor, whereas, her Tank heal ability
will help restore the health of front-line team monster each round.
This cards attack type is Ranged, a Legendary card and she is part of the Earth unit.
👉WHY I PICKED SPIRIT OF THE FOREST
I picked SPIRIT OF THE FOREST because of her Tank heal and protect abilities which will go on well to protect and boost back front monsters health . Placing her in backline will be perfect as she is also an accurate ranged attacker who never misses her target.
Without further ado, let us now enter the battleground.
⚔️ THE BATTLE ⚔️
- The Enemy came at me with the Water element, ALRIC STORMBRINGER as Summoner. Enemy-SPINEBACK TURTLE in first position, Enemy-ENCHANTED PIXIE in second position, Enemy-SEA GENIE in third position, Enemy-CRUSTACEAN KING in fourth position, Enemy-ALBATORSS and finally Enemy-PELACOR BANDIT. I've learnt never to underestimate my opponents card, and that's a pretty solid team with 4 out 6 flying monsters, so Let's see what happened.
SUMMONER-ENEMY ALRIC STORMBRINGER gives all his monsters the +1 Magic.
SUMMONER MYLOR CROWLING gave all team monster the +1
THORN
ability as expected.The first round was a deciding factor of what will happen in the second, after the Earthquake took place. SPIRIT THE FOREST goes on to launch a deadly attack on ENEMY-ENCHANTED PIXIE killing her immediately.
ENEMY-SEA GINIE made a poor attempt to attack FAILED SUMMONER but futile, the magic reflect returns back damage and kills the Genie instantly.
SPINEBACK TURTLE also make a poor attempt, although succeeded in eliminating FAILED SUMMONER, this failed monsters doesn't go down alone, He drags the enemy monster with him to Valhalla😆
Again SPIRIT OF THE FOREST targets and instantly kills ENEMY-ALBATROSS.
SCREECHING VULTURE waste no time, targets and instantly kills ENEMY-PELACOR BANDIT
It is ACID SHOOTER and QUEEN MYCELIA taking center stage in, taking turns they quickly eliminate last enemy monsters ENEMY-CRUSTACEAN KING.
🎉ALL TEAM let out a roar FLAWLESS VICTORY!!!🎉
A RECAP OF THE EARTHQUAKE RULESET
In battles that use the EARTHQUAKE
ruleset, Non-flying Monsters take 2 Melee damage at the end of each round. This can make battles more challenging, as players must rely on other types of monsters to deal damage and control the battlefield.
To succeed in Earthquake;
✅players should consider using monsters with Flying or Heal abilities as this is the trick for this ruleset, but if players are unable to choose such monsters,
✅it is advised to use monsters that have high Health Point and high damage.
Additionally,
✅players shouldn't keep heal units up front.
✅Shield has a very important role.
✅Using Mylor Crowling or Brighton Bloom as summoner can help in this ruleset.
✅Keep monsters with Flying in last positions when Earthquake has done enough damage to both sides as you can see done in this battle.
Overall, Earthquake can be a challenging and engaging ruleset, but it requires careful planning and execution to succeed. By using the right monsters, abilities, and summoner strategies, players can gain an advantage and emerge victorious in even the toughest battles.
✅From this battle and my observation. These abilities played a KEY role, especially for a low-mid manna cap like this which I enjoy.
👉 b) The TANK HEAL
ability which restores a portion health of the front-line monster each round. 💡 Cards like SPIRIT OF THE FOREST offers that.
👉 The THORN ABILITY
When hit with a Melee attack, does damage back to the attacker"> Reduced damage from Magic attacks. 💡SUMMONER MYLOR CROWLING as seen in this battle gives this ability to every friendly monster at the start of a battle.
👉 The SCATTERHSOT ABILITY
Hit's any random monster on enemy line. 💡 Cards like ACID SHOOTER offers that, to be used when less confident and hoping that this helps take down the strongest enemy monster.
