😊Hey Battle Mages!
Welcome back to my untold secrets of a battle mage. We only have 3 days left to End of Season [EOS]. The battlefield is brutal as many fight for Glory on the Leaderboard. For me I have been battling and collecting those daily quest loot. Welp, hope the battlefield has been kind to your my friend.

I have so far shared my approach to ten (10) Rulesets, here's the last one on ⚔️EARTHQUAKE⚔️ and I have come to introduce you to another.

This Ruleset brought to mind the Movie The Equalizer starring Denzel Washington. Who doesn't love Denzel😍, movie was top-notch. Remember this Train Scene? Awesome😂. I will watch it again.

The ruleset also reminded me of the series I watch on and off, The Equalizer starring Queen Latifa.

These played a role in how I viewed my battles, I do love to dramatize stuff in my head for effect and will be telling you all about it. Splinterlands seeks to sharpen skills by allowing players explore various strategies via rulesets. I have tried to study a few cards especially with the newly introduced rulesets, giving one more reasons to know what cards strongly suits them.

Before the start of any battle, each player is shown what ruleset is allowed in battle and it is extremely beneficial to read and strategize accordingly. The ruleset secret I will be sharing you to in this post is the EQUALIZER

EQUALIZER RULESET implies that the initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.

With this in mind players must consider the following;

  •  Don't use high HP monsters and focus on high damage.^(a)

  •  Try to use a lot of monsters as well, having a Tank Heal.^(b)

This is a very interesting ruleset, and if you follow my battles, MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE is my go to weapon of destruction in the death Splinter.

I especially enjoy this ruleset and have a perfect battle to demonstrate it's use and a possible lineup that works for mid mana battle. Something tricky this time though, the ruleset didn't come alone, it had 2 other rulesets which made it abit difficult but still easy cause I would've gone for some of these monsters nonethless.

This was a high-mana cap battle with the WANDS OUT ruleset, meaning 'ONLY MONSTERS MAGIC MONSTERS COULD BE ENGAGED IN BATTLE' and also TARGET PRACTICE ruleset, meaning MAGIC & RANGE MONSTERS GOT THE SNIPE ABILITY.

A 100% win for me against my enemy was analyzed by the SPLINTERTOOLS.IO. Well, I have won a battle with 0% chance, so I don't fully rely on the analysis but it works for the most part. I will quickly introduce you to these fantastic monsters.

⚔️ TEAM LINE-UP ⚔️

☠️MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE - SUMMONER

MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE is an extraordinary Legend, and when in battle she Afflicts all her enemies, causing their wounds never to heal. She then grants the Void ability to the warriors fighting alongside her, protecting them from Magic spell casters, and finally takes away -1 Range attack from all range enemy monsters. MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE takes a stance, ready to attack.

👉WHY I PICKED MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE

I picked MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE because of her Void ability which will help protect my magic Team monsters seeing it was a wands out ruleset. Also, in an equalizer, it's typical to select Tank heal monsters, hence the Affliction ability will cause the enemy monsters not to heal.

☠️UNDEAD PRIEST - FIRST LINE

UNDEAD PRIEST is a formidable monster, when in battle he Slows down enemies by reducing their speed, and the carries on to Weaken enemies by taking away -1 Max health point.

👉WHY I PICKED UNDEAD PRIEST

I picked UNDEAD PRIEST because of his Weaken ability. Being an equalizer ruleset, al monsters got the highest health from both teams compared, hence a minus to all enemy monster's health will give me an upper hand.

DJINN MUIRAT - SECOND LINE

DJINN MUIRAT is one monster you don't want to encounter on the battle field. He has got impressive abilities which brings victory. His Giant killer does double damage to over powered monsters who cost 10+ mana in battle. He's got Magic reflect which does reduced damage back when hit by magic attack enemy. His Void armor cause magic attacks to hit his armor before affecting it's health and finally his Knock out ability does double damage when attacking a stunned enemy.

👉WHY I PICKED DJINN MUIRAT

I picked DJINN MUIRAT because he perfectly suits all 3 rulesets i was faced with. His giant killer, void armor and magic reflect will cause great damage to enemy, a winner card.

☠️DEATH ELEMENTAL - THIRD LINE

Next comes DEATH ELEMENTAL, a wicked creature with the SNIPE that targets enemy monsters with ranged or magic attacks, as well as those with no attacks but not front-liners. This creature also has the SILENCE ABILITY which reduces magic attack of all enemy monsters.

👉WHY I PICKED DEATH ELEMENTAL

I picked DEATH ELEMENTAL mainly because of it's Silence ability which takes away 1 max magic magic points from all enemy monsters, giving me a +1 Magic advantage.

⚔️DOCTOR BLIGHT - FOURTH LINE

A 3-star⭐️⭐️⭐️ legendary DOCTOR BLIGHT who causes great Affliction by making enemies wounds not heal, and then Poison enemies every round of battle. His Camouflage ability makes it impossible to attack and kill except if placed in first position. He Scavenges for himself the health of every fallen monsters. DOCTOR BLIGHT is a monster that very well suits almost all battles.

👉WHY I PICKED DOCTOR BLIGHT

I picked DOCTOR BLIGHT because of his Poison ability which will further weaken the target enemy each round of battle. The Idea is to make sure all enemy monsters lose their health points quickly. His Affliction ability will also cause them not to heal, depleting their health even faster.

☠️PHANTOM SOLDIER - FIFTH LINE

PHANTOM SOLDIER is a brutally savage monsters who only takes what it knows rightfully belongs to it. it uses the Flying ability to fly over enemies with non-flying ability and fiercely attack them and then goes on to causes great Affliction by making enemies wounds not heal. This monster also has the Void ability, protecting itself from Magic spell casters.

👉WHY I PICKED PHANTOM SOLDIER

I picked PHANTOM SOLDIER because of it's Affliction ability which will cause the enemy afflicted not to heal, depleting it's health faster.

☠️CABALIST - SIXTH LINE

CABALIST is a very knowledgeable and diabolic spell caster who Demoralizes the enemy by reducing the melee attack of enemy monsters. His Giant killer does double damage to over powered monsters who cost 10+ mana in battle. A talisman who Amplifies by reflecting back Magic attack, return fire and thorn damage to all enemy monsters by 1.

👉WHY I PICKED CABALIST

I picked CABALIST because of his Giant kill which does damage to over powered monsters seeing it was a high mana cap battle, i would be expecting high mana enemy monsters. Also went with his Amplify ability which causes magic attacks to be most effective.

Without further ado, let us now enter the battleground.

⚔️ THE BATTLE ⚔️

  • The Enemy came at me with the Life element, Enemy-GENERAL SLOAN as Summoner. Enemy-PRISMATIC ENERGY in first position, Enemy-TIME MAGE in second position, Enemy-DJINN ENOVA in third position, Enemy-KRALUS in fourth position, Enemy-ADELADE BRIGHTWING and finally Enemy-SPIRIT. It was a miss by my opponent coming with +range in a magic only battle, but I've learnt never to underestimate my opponents card, and that's a pretty solid team, so Let's see what happened.

  • MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE immediately Afflicts all the enemy monsters and grants the Void ability to the warriors fighting alongside her.

  • ENEMY SUMMONER GENRAL SLOAN finds nothing to give to his team as they're all magic and he is a ranger, poor choice there by enemy.

  • Enemy-Time Mage, and Enemy-Spirit Miner had joined forces to launch a devastating attack on my team.

  • As the battle raged on, my team utilized their powerful magic to great effect. The Undead Priest and Djinn Muirat used his dark magic to drain the life from the enemy monsters.

  • Death Elemental attacked with deadly precision, while Doctor Blight's affliction kept them from healing, depleting their health.

  • Phantom Soldier's stealth attacks caught the enemy by surprise, while Cabalist's dark magic unleashed a torrent of energy that decimated the enemy's ranks.

  • It was a battle of epic proportions, with powerful magic and fierce attacks flying back and forth.

  • 🎉MY MONSTER TEAM let out a roar FLAWLESS VICTORY!!!🎉

A RECAP OF THE EQUALIZER RULESET

In battles that use the EQUALIZER ruleset, the initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health. This means that players cannot rely on high-HP monsters to dominate battles, as all monsters will start with equal health.

To succeed in the Equalizer ruleset,

✅Battle mages should focus on high damage output and use a lot of monsters to overwhelm their opponents.

✅It's important to choose monsters with abilities that can support the team's offense and defense, such as Tank Heal, Thorns, and Triage. These abilities can help keep the team alive while dealing damage to the opposing team.

✅Battle mages should also be aware of their opponents' strategy and adjust their own strategy accordingly. If the opponent is using a lot of monsters with high damage output, players may want to focus on defense and healing. If the opponent is using a lot of tanks, players may want to use monsters with abilities that can bypass defense.

Overall, Equalizer can be a challenging and engaging ruleset, but it requires careful planning and execution to succeed. By using the right monsters, abilities, and summoner strategies, players can gain an advantage and emerge victorious in even the toughest battles.

✅From this battle and my observation. These abilities played a KEY role, especially for a low-mid manna cap like this which I enjoy.

👉 The WEAKEN ability which took away 1 max health from all enemy monsters. 💡 Cards like UNDEAD PRIEST offers that.

👉 The VOID which protected my team monsters from magic damage seeing that it was a wands out, only magic battle. 💡SUMMONER MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE as seen in this battle grants this ability to every friendly monster at the start of a battle.

👉 The GIANT KILLER which does double damage to monsters with high health seeing that it was high-mana battle cap, it was expected. 💡 Cards like CABALIST and DJINN MUIRAT offers that.

👉 The SILENCE which takes away 1 max magic point from all enemy monsters. 💡 Cards like DOCTOR BLIGHT and DEATH ELEMENTAL offers that.
