Sublime Sunday - the first snow of the season. Fungi, apples and more macros (15 fotos)

The first snow of the year is always special and leaves an unusual long-lasting impression. I was anticipating and imagining my post in 2021 about the first snow, what it will be ... and, 146% true - it turned out to be completely surprising for myself and absolutely unpredictable. No way I could imagine or predict it.

Первый снег года всегда особенный и оставляет необычные впечатления. Я заранее предвкушал и представлял себе, мой пост 2021 про первый снег, каким он будет... В этот раз это верно на все 146%. Пост получился совершенно сюрпризным и не таким, как я мог это себе представить.

My wife and I were forced to visit our summer house outside the city (for the first time since the season was closed at the end of August!) ... This week was all cloudy but dry, and for the weekend the weather forecast promised us sleet and rain - thats a disgusting combination! But when we already get on the train, we saw snowflakes circling in the air, and then we saw that the fields and trees outside the window were smeared with something white ... and when we arrived at our place, it turned out that everything was covered with the first thin layer of snow! ... which already has begun to melt.

Мы с женой были вынуждены навестить наш летний домик снаружи города (в первый раз после закрытия сезона в конце августа!)... Предыдущие дни были облачными но сухими, а на уикенд прогноз погоды обещал мокрый снег с дождем - отвратительное сочетание! Но когда мы ехали в поезде, мы видели что в воздухе кружатся снежинки, потом увидели что поля и деревья за окном выпачканы чем-то белым... а когда приехали к нашему месту, то оказалось что все покрыто первым тонким слоем снега... который уже начал таять.

I took with me my photo-backpack and three lenses (16mm fisheye, 50mm and 150mm tele-macro), but to be honest my heart was bleeding from the views we we passing by... I wanted to photograph every bush and every twig. But we had things to do and I didn't stop. We went into the forest, and only then I allowed myself to relax and take pictures of a little snow-covered luxury ... and then I changed 50mm to a macro lens, and managed to crawl on my knees over a small family of mushrooms.

Я захватил с собой фоторюкзак и три объектива (16mm фишай, 50мм и 150мм теле-макро), но честно говоря мое сердце обливалось кровью от видов, которые я проходил. Хотелось сфотографировать каждый кустик и каждую веточку. Но у нас были дела, ия не останавливался. Мы сходили в лес, и только потом я позволил себе расслабиться и пофотографировать немножко заснеженных роскошей... а потом поменял 50мм на макрообъектив, и успел поползать на коленках над небольшой семейкой грибов.

I had three batteries with me -- and I discharged all of them! (Yes, probably I need to buy a new fresh high-capacity battery, because a situation when your camera stop working due to an empty battery, when such beauties are around you is ... it is stupid! and it may lead to a real nervous breakdown!)

У меня было с собой три аккумулятора, и я разрядил все три! (Да, на самом деле, надо купить новый свежий аккумулятор повышенной емкости, потому что неработающая из-за батарейки камера, когда вокруг тебя такая красота - это... это чревато нервным срывом!)

No, this is not a healthy nutrition apple... but look at its color! so cool and unusual... mother nature is a skilled decorator!

Да, это яблочко не самое аппетитное и полезное... оно уже давно лежит на мольберте у матушки-природы. Которая, как известно, декоратор с фантазией!

And this apple, probably because of the round holes on its surface, makes me think of a deep-sea fish thrown to the surface ... which opens its mouth in a silent scream. I hope I didn't scare you too much!

А это яблоко, вероятно из-за круглых дырочек на его поверхности, вызывает у меня ассоциации с глубоководной рыбой, выброшенной на поверхность... которая разевает в беззвучном крике свой рот. Надеюсь, я вас не испугал!

Chokeberry berries. It grows in many gardens - you can make wine from it and add it to compotes, but its harvest is always large, much more than necessary, and most of the bushes still contain all the harvest unharvested. But it doesn't matter - the birds will definitely take care of it in winter.

Ягоды черноплодной рябины. Она растет во многих садах - из нее можно изготавливать вино и добавлять ее в компоты, но ее урожай всегда большой, гораздо больше чем нужно, и большинство кустов все еще содержат весь урожай, несобранный. Но это не беда - птицы обязательно о нем позаботятся зимой.

It is amazing to see that some plants are still producing green leaves, and even blooming! These green leaves belong to the sea buckthorn bush - a strong plant ... an expert in surviving and reproducing in the most difficult conditions!

Удивительно видеть, что некоторые растения еще выпускают зеленые листья, и даже цветут! Эти зеленые листья принадлежат кусту облепихи - сильное растение... специалист по выживанию и размножению в любых самых трудных условиях!

We visited local forest. We had a business there, totally nothing to do with foraging, and I am not sure I want to tell you the story. Anyway I was not into photography and took just a dozen quick shots, mostly of a few fungi that stumbled upon my way.

Between the wilted dead leaves and pieces of melting ice and snow I found... mushrooms! A lot of mushroom caps... they all were feeling fine, and were willing to pose me.

And this charming little pine tree with teardrops on needles is a sprout 2-3 centimeters high, no more! - made me drain the battery completely ... Will this baby survive the winter? We will see.

А эта очаровательная маленькая сосенка со слезинками на иголках - росток высотой в 2-3 сантиметра, не более! - заставил меня разрядить батарейку окончательно... Переживет ли эта малышка зиму? Увидим.
