Mushroom for breakfast

avatar
(Edited)

A few days ago I foraged nice weighty bag of mushrooms, including five Fly agarics (Amanita muscaria); the latter I plan to dry up, but while they are still fresh I started to bite it, bit by bit. And of course staged some macros.

Yeah, I still have a little stash of dried ones left from last year. 🍄 Haven’t managed to get out to the forest yet this year, but there’s still time!

That is a beautiful, dramatic picture, but I would never eat that! :))

I considered the pic be like that.
As for this shroom: feel no fear! 🙃 It is highly medicinal. 😉
Have a great day!

Are they hallucinogenic is larger doses?

I consider, yes - but I never tried to confirm. A dose of 5 large/medium mushrooms for an adult probably will be lethal, so it's better not to risk and not to approach the limits... Hallucinogenic trip is not what I'm interested in :)

Definitely not worth the risk. Are there benefits to micro dosing these? Like what's the point in consuming them at all? Do they taste good?

Sorry, lots of questions lol

My pleasure to feed your learning curve. 😌
No special taste at all, an ordinary mushroom taste, if you heat it above 60 degrees when cooking, all the useful substances will be destroyed, only simple mushroom proteins remain. As for micro dosing benefits hmmm... that maybe an obscure grey area. When you believe it works - it works. 🙃 Subjectively, I feel a certain surge of energy... in any case, it helps me to brighten up the forest hours spent away from dinner time!

Wow, those Fly agarics look striking. Do you usually dry them for art or another purpose?”

Dry for art? nono, they look more sympatico in their raw form.
This is my little medicinal supply for the winter/spring season.
