Picture a day - the season ??..

Suddenly, while editing this photo, I was tempted to produce a little photo game. So dear all, I will ask a question: what season it is? maybe it is obvious, maybe it is not. Lets see, how brave you are to guess... Please dont look at the name of the file (as it will kill all the intrigue momentarily). You may open the pic in a separate window for the extra details, it may help.

I'm guessing it's autumn, did you ask the lady in the background to lift her leg when she kisses? it caught my eye haha, cool caught :)

Ofc no, it was not me but probably their photographer. Or she did it on her own. I was lucky to notice this scene - initially I stopped to shoot the reflection, but then stepped back to make a few doubles of that wedding pair. (Received a silent but reproachful look from their cameraman in response, haha! I was not his competitor, but indeed I encroached on his sheep).
Thanks for the extra token, and let me treat you with Hive !PIZZA. (By the way, you guessed it right!) 🫢

Hey, as I already commented above, the whole scene came out as a by-product; initially I stopped to shoot just the reflection! intention was just to capture the puddle... 😜
Oh and let me treat you with a Hive !PIZZA, my dear friend. Tho it is too late for the morning coffee. 😘

Let me answer this: the photo depicts peach blossom season. I'm not just saying this. There are reasons for this. I invite you to think about them.

peach blossom, you say?.. hmmm. maybe that can be so but I am not in the know when do they bloom - we do not have peaches at SPb. 😜 Lets !BEER ?..

Peach of immortality is always a few steps away from you no matter where you are.

That means that it is always peach blossom season if you were born a human.

So-called real seasons are empty and not more real than this metaphor.

Refuse the vain world, dedicate your life to good deeds out of compassion, then, meditate for a quarter of a century, squatting on a cliff.

(To make the context clearer, I am sitting in front of the computer, drinking coffee, and grinning).

((By the way, there is one Taoist novel that I read twice, and yesterday I suddenly saw it among the old Thai books in English. the mathematical probability for such a finding is close to zero. I bought it and will read it again)).

(((That guy squatting on the parapet :D, kissing the bride, and that photograper's pose... Fun!)))

((((Thanks for beer! Cheers!))))

The leaves are completely gone, so it is at least late autumn. Folks are wearing autumn colors, too, except for the kissing woman (cute couple, nice shot of them!). the light is very oblique, winter angle. I think it's a warm day in the winter, everyone wishing spring were coming.

a) leaves are completely gone, <- totally correct!
b) folks are wearing autumn colors, <- nice notion! you are the only one who noticed that, I did not myself. nice!!

c) the light is very oblique, winter angle.

very well noticed! well, the thing is we have extremely short 'light day' (with 22 of December to be the shortest day of the year). In winter, we have no green grass (even with the Global Warming sh..t) - it is snow, or it is some frozen dirt/soil. The colours are so fresh it looks like spring - tho it is October. Quite unusual look for this month, indeed. But one's mind can deduce and beat it. Congrats! Sending you my congratulations, and a Hive !PIZZA. 🙏 Thanks for your visit, a pleasure for me!

Here, the world seems to have come together in miniature.
There is this newly-wed couple. They seem absolutely certain that they have just done the right thing and want to capture the moment in a photograph.
The couple next to the mobile 'little houses' are probably already a few steps ahead of us and see the need for an intensive exchange of views.
Couple No. 3, on the other hand, would much rather say goodbye to dialogue with each other and prefer to seek their happiness on the Internet.
The reflection in the puddle of water thus serves as a mirror of the moment.

A wonderful interpretation! the reason why I am so in love with #streetphoto. You may find and enjoy in a photo so many little cute details and pieces of life! It is a true preservation of time and epoch.

Oh! uhm, well - here at Hive we can always have !PIZZA time, and it is a good thing, 👍 I am absolutely up for that 😛🥰🥰🥰🥰 The picture does bring some solid Spring feeling for me too! (That is exactly what pushed me to ask this question, haha). But no, it was October. !LOLZ

Well, you said to take a guess, and how was I to know that October in Russia is in fact Autumn ? !LOLZ
I also saw that you have only two months of Autumn, is this correct?
So here's also a !PIZZA for you my friend.

Officially, we have 3: September, October, November. (September also is known as 'Indian Summer'). Usually there is no dramatical harsh crossing between the season. November can look pretty much like Winter... as well as the March, !LOLZ

Great to know and depending on our winter rains, the seasons can also overlap to look similar. The first that I saw of the Indian Summer, was when a friend in Austria showed me a photo of it. !LOLZ

Please dont look at the name of the file

As I was reading it my hand was already right clicking on the picture!

I just couldn't stop it :)

But I think I would say autumn anyway :)

Well.... well, your answer counts, thank you kindly! Trees could be more green during the summer. (Unless theres smth special / wrong with them, all of them). This dont look like winter (no snow), do not look like summer (less green) and the colours are fresh and vivid - like in spring. Quite strange for an October! That is what pushed me to ask the question. Let me treat you back with Hive !PIZZA.

I'd say that its winter based in the trees.

Looks like there is a wedding or engagement shoot happening in the background of the focal couple. That's a neat detail in the photo

One of the little reasons to enjoy the capture, indeed. Was a not intentional bonus. In winter we usually have more snow (or dirty frozen soil, with no such a spring-esque bright green grass). ☘️The capture was done on October day, during 'magic hour'. Thanks for stopping by, and bringing your answer. I appreciate it! 🙏 Lets share !PIZZA

A difficult mystery:) A similar shot could have been taken in fall, winter and spring. Winter is the least likely - although I remember one winter when the grass was bright green all December and snow fell in mid-January. No leaves on the trees at all - that's more for spring, in fall a little foliage is usually left But the flowers in the flowerbeds are a very serious argument in favor of autumn, late fall flowers can be seen even in November. People are dressed lightly, not a single person in a down jacket - this is also for fall, in spring some people are in no hurry to get out of winter clothes. So it's still fall - either the photographer caught the moment and made a shot that doesn't correspond to the season:)

All considerations are correct!

But the flowers in the flowerbeds are a very serious argument in favor of autumn

it was October. not very warm day of late October - magic hour added some spring-ness to the colours. thanks a lot you your 5 cents, I appreciate that. !BEER
btw - what about some joint photo walk somewhere (except suburbia)?.. I've got a new camera, now capable of shooting video.

Both suit me well, I havent attended Kanonersky for ages. My next Sunday is reserved for cinema visit (Master and Margarita is in the plan), Saturdays are quite free.

Winter

Well, it is not. It was October (the month of transition from Indian summer to rainy and cold November). (If you are curious, check tatdt's reasoning). ☘️ Maybe it is close to how the winter looks like in your area?

Yes, looks like winter here although rain is rare in winter for us

Well, I read the answers, so I know it's autumn. However, I thought maybe spring (certainly not summer or winter). Love is in the air (note the couple kissing) and that's something poets associate with spring🕊. Also rain on the ground. In my neck of the woods (USA, northeast) rain and spring go together. One detail that works against the spring answer--no buds on the trees. They start appearing rather early where I live. But then again, there are blossoming flowers.

So, it's not spring, but it could be :))

Thank you, thank you very much for giving your answer! I am most close myself to this option too - judging by the impression this visual gives to me.
ps.
Here, autumn is most associated with rains. Also - you might find curious another detail that is helpful: as @tatdt noted, most folks wear light dress - which is not the case for the Spring; it is not warm as the Summer, so folks are in no hurry to take off their warm winter clothes, at least most do it slowly :) and this is also a mark.

folks are in no hurry to take off their warm winter clothes

That's so interesting. It's just the opposite here. People are eager to put winter behind them. They cast off their winter clothes prematurely (even I do). We embrace spring and summer even before they are here :))

Ha, I'd like to do that too. But sometimes we see snow even in May! and (very rarely tho) even in June. This pic I took in the mid-April:
