Sunday photo walk across St.Petersburg (13 foto)
Greetings from St.Petersburg, the cultural capitol of Russia. For this #SublimeSunday and #BeautifulSunday I shared the pictures from my walk across the historical center of the city. Enjoy some streetphoto paparazzi-style; I used two lens: 50mm and 16-35mm on this day, no telephoto.
A young pair of friends attracted my attention. Only after long and heavy consideration I decided to think that the female part of this pair is on the right.... but I am still not 100% convinced!
Such a typical scene. Perhaps these are the last leaves of autumn, and the townspeople are eager to enjoy them and extract the last autumn joys before the prolonged rains begin and turn this gold into dust.

I've heard not long ago, the current decade we are unhappy to live in, may be better referred to as 'the era of scooters'. The evidences can be massively seen on every street.
Недавно слышал, что нынешнее время можно называть «эрой самокатов». Воистину, так! Доказательства - на каждой улице, в любых количествах.
At that very moment when I was taking this photo (1 blind take, no duplicates), I was sure the girl was holding a smartphone in her hand. BUT.... later, looking at the photo at my display, I discovered that I was wrong! there is a piece of wheat bread in her hand, which she dips into the jar of marmalade handed out to her. Touching!
Когда я делал этот снимок (1 клик, без дублей), то был уверен что девушка сжимает в руке смартфон. НО. Разглядывая фото дома, на экране монитора, я обнаружил что ошибся! в руке у нее кусочек булки, который она обмакивает в протянутую ей баночку с мармеладом. Трогательно!
Just some repair works on one of the central streets...
Typical souvenirs offered to tourists and guests of the city in the historical part of the city: plates, scarves, T-shirts, bags with iconic characters and objects of the city.

The artist sells his paintings and souvenir magnets. I photographed this view because the door attracted me. Estimate the scale. A real imperial door with lions! Now these are no longer made...

The garden along the Admiralty building. The city has many large squares and parks, it is a city of open spaces. Why did I photograph this view, where nothing is happening? For the love of a wide angle! :) As simple as that!
Сад вдоль здания Адмиралтейства. Город имеет много больших площадей и парков, это город открытых пространств. Зачем я сфотографировал этот вид, в котором ничего не происходит? Из любви к широкому углу :)
My wife and ne visited our fave 'Volchek bakery' to buy two lattes... But sitting and drinking our drinks is not allowed anymore. Ofc, C-19 is far more dangerous if you stay 30 min at the same place, then 15. The levels of idiotism and lunacy just rise more and more...
We sipped our coffee, standing on the waterfront and admiring the building of the former Imperial stables (now being restored). Another goodbye photo: on Palace Square, everyone can try on a baron's or count's carriage (I don't see the crown on the doors, so I'm at a loss to whom exactly this ... simulacrum could belong).
Мы смаковали наше кофе, стоя на набережной и любуясь зрелищем реставрируемых бывших Императорских конюшен. Еще одна фотография, на прощанье: на Дворцовой площади каждый может примерить баронскую или графскую карету (не вижу на дверцах короны, поэтому затрудняюсь сказать, чья карета).

These are such awesome pictures! It is undoubtedly a pleasure to stroll around with you and the family. Great choice of lenses, it is always difficult for me to decide which lens might be best.
The shots of the building are always interesting with the architectural details, ditto with the doors/window... okay, I just love it in its entirety. I hope you didn't stay for longer than 30 minutes. You know, Covid! :))
What is at the building? Seriously wow structure. The entire city is a museum. Thank you for allowing me to accompany you, once again. This time, I didn't jump on those fake baron carriages! Thanks for the tip! :)
that is the Admiralty Building, Denise.
St.Petersburg was founded in 1703 by Peter I the Great, and sea / ships was one of his obsessions. The Admiralty buiding at his time was wooden, and didnt looked like that, the current view ofc is a later decoration. But I agree - it looks impressive and pleasurably. If you will be on a happy vizit to Spb one day, you definitely will not miss this location :)))

Ahahaha. Tell our president about covid-19. He has already told about the victory over covid-19 3 times in a year and a half, but he continues to sit in the bunker.
Now this building houses the management of the Russian Navy. There used to be a naval engineering school and a naval base headquarters (I hope I did not reveal the secrets of state secrets)
By the way, I studied here after school for five years, and then another 10 years passed military service in this knowledge))

My mom was going to visit later this month, but has gotten so worked up into hysteria over Covid that she's barely able to leave her house. Oy.

yeah, I live in a nice looking city, if you find yourself in historical center, doesnt matter whenever you point the camera and press the trigger, you may receive something nice looking, hehe. (but I dont visit that historicl part of the center too often...)

ага. ну, Площадь Искусств же, приятное место. увы, листва и золото осени уже закончились :/ теперь гулять - так себе. только перебежками от одного кофейника у другому :=)

а гулять можно в любую погоду, вопрос только в одежде))
