Derivative Drivel

Wisdom is everywhere; wise men aren’t. On top of that, as there is no wise old man, finding the authentic source of wisdom, aka the wise man is even rarer. But looking at our surroundings, we don’t find any problem with people highlighting their intelligence by lecturing their fellow men. Sometimes, they debate until the other people surrender before their wisdom. However, how many of us see them preaching original knowledge— all they do is parrot others and claim to have mastery over which they don’t have in reality, or in the worst scenario, labeling it to be their own.

Well, there is no harm in spreading the words of wisdom, even if they are not yours, but at least it demands a basic understanding of the message conveyed through those invaluable words. Lecturing without understanding the inner meaning makes it boring to the listeners and there is a chance your words are wasted, failing to enlighten others as they failed to do yours in the first place.

So, should we stop guiding others?

No, that won’t be wise, either. But practice before you preach. It makes them fruitful, and you find contentment knowing that they will have a profound effect on others' minds, one way or another. Sadly, people these days are prone to lock themselves in the illusion they are hypnotised with. Outside force (read knowledge) barely has any effect on their state of mind and, most often, can’t even penetrate the layer of ignorance they have built around them.

Know anyone responsible for this?

Well, it’s not that easy to define or identify the person involved as there is a greater power working behind the scene, observing closely, and changing the discourse to tailor it to a point where social people are most receptive.

On another note, social propaganda is working this; the dedicated people in this deceptive course of life have manipulated our beliefs, altering our attitudes and taking control of our confidence. Now we are confused when things are a bit off track or when we are put in an unwelcome situation.

In the past, when we were not too self-centric, often engaged in discussions with others. Technology wasn’t advanced like now, and people had to read before speaking up. Reading always helps; it reaches the mind and clears out the confusion existing there. But today, we are comfortable with thumbnails the most and don’t care for the content inside. As a result, the knowledge we are developing is as superficial as it can be.

What’s more alarming, people now-a-days are self-proclaimed experts, instructing people to do this or that, but they don’t even know if that will work or not. In some cases, they don't have any exposure to the situation but lecturing in a way that makes them more than experts, while in practicality, they speak as they see— not what he understands through insightful observation. I’d say it’s very juvenile but labelling it as pathetic sounds better.

Wisdom is everywhere; wise men aren’t.

A lot of smart alecks in their smarty-pants nowadays; who preach a lot, speak well, but barely even practice what they preach.

The influence of social media and the internet; deluding the average joe into a toxic "sigma" or "alpha" mindset, and the average woman into thinking that "all men are trash" and "unnecessary"

I don't have problems with people not practicing what they preach, but I expect them to understand what they advocate for genuinely.
And of course, amen to that.
