Walking in the Rain-Soaked Neighbourhood
The weather is changing— after many months of extreme dryness, the sky is pouring down to earth making it all tender and more revitalising. Green leaves are emerging like a metamorphosis— creating sharp contrast in the surroundings.
Some Random Dudes Walking By :p
Well, the intention was not to feast on the greenery sites far from my home but to burn some calories as I need to take care of my growing stomach— it looks weird, lol.
Also, there was company. They had other purposes and I thought why not utilise this opportunity to take some photos?
Close to the capital city, it is one of the few green university campuses you will find in this part of the world. Geographically, this area was once surrounded by tiny hills and dense forests. I heard from elderly residents that they were afraid of the wild animals living in this area and after dark, nobody wanted to come out of their houses.
Those days are gone now— the concrete building has claimed most of the parts. And farmlands are claiming a few areas yet to be developed. If I come back here after 5-7 years, I think I won't be able to recognise it.
Anyway, the pride this locality used to foster is still apparent in some places— look at the sloppy roads with repeated bends, and the leftovers of destroyed hills. And the red earth is proof of its ancient origin.
We walked through the villages, starting from the concrete roads to muddy ones— from the crowd of thousand buildings to desolate farmlands; where the sky is still azure blue and jackals play hide and seek underneath.
It was getting dark due to the forming clouds and so, we rushed to our shelter— not that we were afraid of wild beasts but to ease our exhaustion after walking for 1 hour or so.
But we didn't leave empty-handed. Some wildflowers, the smell of fresh sprouts, and the southern breeze after heavy rainfall made us aware of the change the environment is experiencing.
And trust me, it doesn't look good what's coming.
I adore walking in the rain. The streets are always empty... the earth smells like life... and everything feels fresh and clean...
like new beginnings ❤️👣

Perfect expression you have here. The empty streets aid you to enjoy the sorrounding without disruption and no matter how far you go, you never feel disappointed. It's the emotional emptiness the rain provokes that fulfills our senses or what?
Thank you for the tip my friend 🙂
Now there is a line worth keeping :D
So you're an artist. Hello 😊
Artist? Lol.... No. Or, maybe I am; without the canvas and spilled ink. But hey, welcome to this gallery of failed art.
aren't we all failed pieces of art?
Or perfect :D
Perhaps a combination of both 😜
I think you're right!
Let's just do that. 👍
a beautiful walk
the greens of nature really come out and shine after rain dont they
Thanks for joining the Wednesday, its always fun for me to visit the walks from all around the world, getting a feel for communities where people live and what they see on their daily walks
Yep, the greens are visible now but only a few days ago they were dust-coated and you literally couldn't identify if they are dead or still gasping for air through their cellular system (i forgot the name through which trees breathe). Walking after rain always freshen up the mind and help us to rediscover natural beauty at its finest.
Thank you for stopping by and sharing your opinion 🤜🤛
thats kind of sad to hear the trees are coated with dust and struggling
my pleasure to visit your post
The unrevealed love for photography is slowly revealing itself. Love the photos bhai.
Now you just need a handy little phone with a proper camera, and a few editing tricks. 🔥
Ah, yes I love doing photography and bought this phone with that purpose in mind. But recently I noticed the lens protector received some heavy scratches and that's why they all look gloomy. Also, I've found out without editing photos don't look that good, so, trying with whatever function my phone offers and the results are astonishing. Thanks for the inspiration bro, it really helped.
Lens scratches are the worst, that's why you see me using this fat phone case. 😂
And for editing you can try Snapseed bhai, Google Photos works too for basic edits, but Snapseed has a lot more options.
On PC I use Photoscape, I've been using this software for 15 years now, it does the job, the basic at least. I completely forgot how to use Photoshop though, I used to be quite a master in photo manipulation. 😬
Manipulator, eh? 🤔
Now I know how do you convince her even going after babeezes 😂
Hopefully i will learn the basics in distant future, for becoming pro, i may need to be born again. But basics are doing wonders, i assume.
Na na this is different kind of manipulation. 💀
Just a matter of time bhai. 🔥
I know what manipulation stands for in a photography context, just kidding. Snapseed; heard a lot about this and now it's time to deploy.
I know you know, I was kidding too hehe. 💀
Start experimenting ASAP.
nowadays, whenever I walk through these roads, it makes me feel ache. I hardly visit the campus.
The change is happening so drastically that i sometimes take moments to absorb the brutality.
Still, didn’t expect these much shift within last 2 years. I'll miss it’s old wild nature :))
Unfortunately, I couldn't manage time to pay a visit to campus except for prantik gate to islamnagar on my way in.
But that's okay I guess, as spending time inside the campus feels strange; more like a stranger.
