Wheels of Life

Our life is nothing but a combination of different components. Each of them plays their designated roles to create a symphony that keeps us going. In this journey of life, having the right set of wheels is like having a tour guide in an unknown territory infested with foes and uncertainty.

Although wheels are merely a metaphoric medium on which we roll, without them life never finds its balance on even a plain road. They often take us to the destination adored, help us to fulfill the dream we cherish— navigation through the hiccups of our worldly existence becomes possible when we bestow our weight on the right wheels; even beyond the road.

But who thought a mere circle of rubber and steel would be so important in our life. We have air, water— wew have friends, family; why would we need them wheels?

Beyond the mechanical metaphor, wheels symbolise precision— something we cannot ignore in our journey of life; both real and in other realm. It’s a symbol of balance, a symbol of inspiration to move forward; taking us through different landscapes, offering comfort in dirts, stabilising our very existence even despite we choose to travel the harshest of roads. From the moment of our birth to the other dimension of life, they stick to us like a loyal friend, sometimes more than that— a hero in disguise; always synchronising with the other components of life to ensure a pleasant trip.

Like real wheels we see, our metaphoric wheel also wears out. Gets tired, sometimes loses balance in icy roads unless we upgrade them at summer’s end or keep riding the same wheels for eternity. Propelling throughout the ever changing season of our life gets off-balanced. It cannot differentiate the right lane from the left— leans towards the pavement because it has lost its rhythm. Gets hurt easily by the pitch black bitumen carpet. Oftentimes, the silent scream doesn’t reach our ear and we keep pushing forward.

But, they need alignments too.

Certainly, you cannot ride like a hypercar on vinatge wheels. Those lovely chrome hubcup might not get you the adventure you seek on a V12. Instead, it can take you to the memory lane left behind years ago. Memories full of joy, exploration, those innocence, a timelapse through the tendency of letting go.

Once adored as the wheels of freedom might not work the same way after all those years— the wheels might require further adjustment just because you’re past your youth; responsibilities have replaced tyres with tubeless so you don’t stop even with a few nails pierced through the layers. Those shiny spokes might suit best on a nostalgic ride but not on your way to become a guardian, protector of the family.

You might need alluminium alloy, lightweight yet robust enough to carry the excessive weight of life’s hiccups. You need them so even if you are to race, they can dance for you on the racetrack of life— take you to the realm of victory. The right wheel— it’s not just the wheel but a gateway to the triumph of our everchanging life; a spirit of progress and stability in rotation.

Also, can we say that the wheels can represent karma
You know what goes around comes around just like the wheels rotate

Nice idea you shared, didn't think that way actually. Thank you very much. And I believe in Karma but find it hard to swallow when it happens with me 😉
