I reached Champions 1 yesterday for first time, but I am somewhat critical of it,
Reaching Champions 1 with level 5 summoner is great accomplishment for me but on other hand "what happened to game ? lvl 5 on chmpion 1? " crosses my mind.

Collection Power will make it much more difficult to climb the rankings, even if your deck is worth heaps of DEC. You'll be facing more difficult competitors.
The game only had around 10K Monthly Active Users the last time I checked. With the advent of new players and the collocations score mechanism, these conditions will cease to exist. I'm going to treat the current situation as more of a discount shopping.
