Splinterland Renting: Enjoying the weak Hive prices

avatar

We all know that most of the earning opportunities in HIVE yield HIVE. Even the tribe tokens (until they do not get external money earned out of Hive , or available outside the HIVE) will also yield token and their price will be tied relatively to Hive instead of Dollar value of Hive in market.

Week Hive prices though provide investment opportunities but it seriously impacted the users who need Hive for their daily needs and operation.

Can you generate passive income independent of Hive price?

image.png

Yes, I find Splinterland's card delegation system as one of the system available in Hive that generate the passive income on Dollars and your payment will increase or decrease depending upon the Dollar value of Hive. So when Hive tanks, I get more Hive for renting the cards so basically weak Hive price increases my stash of Hive more per day.
You can use Paekmonster to set up the renting of your Splinterland's card.

What about APR ?
That is most important question for some want to invest. To get nice APR you need to stack the cards at some higher level depending ypon rarity. It is very unlikely that some one will rent a level one common card though probability somewhat increases for level 1 legendary summoner. Higher the level of your card, higher are the chances that it get rented because many players need card to win in tournaments to get nice earning but it is not feasible for them to buy every cards and level it up high.

image.png

You can see, I am getting monthly APR of 2.5% to 1.5% for most of cards (with few exceptions of having >2.5% and <1.5%) so it can be safely assumed that you will get APR of 18%-30% that can be compounded monthly.

Risks and Rewards involved
Your risk and reward is card value price going to be in future. Card value strictly depends upon market demand. It's is your luck that the card you have purchased for $50 will appreciate to $100 or it can depreciate to $25.

Tips for Renters
Use HBD to pay for your card lease. HBD price do not vary that much as Hive.

good strategy dear. I had some good cards; which I tried renting out but unfortunately, I couldn't get any person willing to take the cards on rent. And finally had to remove the card from the rental market.

let try again with lower price, Land caused the spike in card demands/rents. Earlier my ratio is 28rented/62 available. After land announcement it increased to 42/62.

I am able to rent Goblin mech and rusty Android too.

You can see these all are rewards cards so I hope renting summoner is most profitable business and get even more APR.

I am renting the cards from the peakmonsters.com an some cards are personal delegated by owners and I make payment direct3to their accounts... but never listed my cards for renting...
I love to play the game and using multiple account (jn past love to play the heroen delegated accounts) to earn DEC amd reward cards but now days because of busy schedule not able to play much and mostly playing my main account...
Delegation may be the good option for me (as my cards are setting ideal).
Nice post thanks for sharing......

Before renting make sure they have nice level or some useful ability unlocked at that level. It will very unlikely that Bronze-Silver level cards will be rented.

I get a pretty nice return from most of my legendary rentals. I noticed a while back that there was a decent rate on some single L1 legendary cards so bought a few and rented them. Turns out that may have also been quite a good investment for land!

How you getting on with that Yodin? Using it I hope!

Sorry, I myself do not remember what was intended period of delegation but whatever it is I guess I already crossed it long time back.

I rarely see people pay with HBD for the cards they rent from me. It's their loss and my gin when the price appreciate. It was a very good tip to advise people to pay with HBD.

Same here, almost everyone is paying me in Hive.

Tip: By default Peakmonster system give priority to Hive for payments if Hive and HBD are both present in account. If you want to payment using HBD, do not deposit Hive in the account.

I'm currently renting some cards that I need for playing, but also leasing out some of the legendary cards that I don't need... Why not rent them, if you don't use them... ;)

Yeah, whatever not needed should be rented to generate some income.

I always thought it was a pay to play. Fight realise you could rent. That's handy if you can't afford the expensive cards

Apart from renting, you just need to know when to stop in game so that it remain enjoyable for playing and do not stress your pocket.

For Ex. I stopped upgrading after level 5 and not going after buying every new card.(or in other words, you can decide your target level and only invest the DEC earned from game.)

That's a good idea, I had read so many posts about people maxing out their decks that I started to think it was something that has to be done to earn anything useful!

Maxing is not required for (unless yo want dominate very hard.) You can get nice playable experience at level 4- level 5 summoners too.
Earning useful is not comes from ranked game as such for that you should participate in tournaments and make sure to complete your daily quest. Though daily quest rewards are not much of value but you never know when you hit the jackpot of gold foil legendary.

There is a chance to get gold foils from daily quest rewards? Wow. I didn't know that. I know it will be a slim chance but a chance is still a chance. Cheers mate, that's been very useful!

Every investment has its degree of risk and on the rent in Splinterlands I find it very interesting to take advantage of some opportunities. I have never rented any of my cards but maybe I can start planning thermal springs for a source of income in the future.

The numbers presented are really cool.
