Inktober is here!

For the last three years, whenever 1st October arrives, a hesitation obtruded my whole face and made me perplexed about whether I should take the challenge or not. And for this dilemma, I had to post the first prompt one day late. Sorry for my inconvenience.
Before going through my art, let me explain what inktober is.
Inktober (Ink+October) is an art challenge created by artist Jake Parker that goes for the whole month of October. It is mainly focused on improving skills and developing positive drawing habits. For the challenge, you just need a pen and paper and work on the official inktober prompt list for every day. To me, inktober is like a virtual-visual festival where artists from the whole world come around just through a hashtag and paint away every day for a month based on a single prompt list. And joining with all those artists for a whole month gives my journey a festive vibe. Each individual interprets and decors the same prompt in their own distinctive style which makes the challenge more exciting!

This year's prompt list is here and if you guys still have some queries about inktober, check out their official website.
And before posting your work online, remember to use the hashtags #inktober and #inktober2022 if you want your art to be seen by everyone.
Every year, when I worked on inktober, I tried to connect my personal experience with the prompt list. Like in 2020, I chose my cat as the main theme and for 2021, it was my university life. But sometimes, I felt the challenge to bring and blend some foreign context with my local context like this year, the 1st day's theme was Gargoyle. As this is an uncommon prompt for countries like Bangladesh, I've to research first on this thing. From many other uses, here, I chose the religious definition of a gargoyle who works as the spiritual protector of churches as well, scaring off demons and evil spirits.
Now for my art, I tried to depict a gargoyle as a hujur in the front corner of a mosque. Don't get me wrong, I'm a religious girl but almost everyone is aware of the priest scandal on sexual abuse of the child. The same types of cases also happen in our country's maqtab when a child or adolescent goes for being a Quran hafez. In this case, the imams and hujurs have to play the role of the protector who is in charge of guiding the young people in the spirit of Islam but sometimes, here, the savior becomes the predator.
I'm not that good with sketches or figure drawing, so I just tried to outline a shape that can give an idea of the gargoyle. Hope you like it!

At first I was like what's up with INK-Tober. Glad that I opened the post to check it out. I had no idea about it btw.

No wonder you were hesitating to go up for it. But I must say this whole month would be productive for you ;)

To be honest, you are awesome. That artwork looks pretty dope.
