[PT/EN] Review de disco #3 The Uplift Mofo Party Plan de RHCP

Continuando minha série de posts falando de algo que entendo pouco mas gosto muito, música. Hoje estarei dando minha opinião sobre o terceiro álbum da banda Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Uplift Mofo Party Plan.

Esse álbum foi lançado dois anos após o segundo, no dia 29 de Setembro de 1987. Foi o primeiro e único álbum gravado com a formação original da banda, com o Anthony Kiedis nos vocais, Flea no baixo, Slovak na guitarra e Jack Irons na bateria. No ano seguinte Slovak infelizmente viria a falecer de uma overdose e seu amigo Jack Irons não conseguiu permanecer na banda.

Nesse disco percebe-se que a banda deu uma diversificada maior nos estilos das musicas (tem até uma música no pegada reggae na intro, Love Trilogy), assim afastando um pouco mais do funk rock que foi tão presente em Freaky Styley. Ao mesmo tempo fico triste em perder o funk mas gostei das "novas" musicas.
Achei o Slovak sensacional e trouxe alguns elementos talvez de metal que a banda não tinha. Flea apresentou um pouco mais daquele seu jeito característico de tocar.
Ainda continuo não gostando muito do jeito que o Kiedis ta cantando, sinto que ele ta melhorando a cada disco mas sei que ele vai fazer muito mais nos próximos, talvez por isso eu cobro mais dele nesses primeiros discos kkkk
Cada vez que escuto esse disco mais eu gosto, de um modo geral esse disco é superior ao seu antecessor na qualidade musical mas como eu adoro o funk rock deles não consegui ainda escolher qual eu prefiro. Portanto vou dar a mesma nota que dei para Freaky Styley.

Continuing my series of posts talking about something I understand little but really like, music. Today I'll be giving my opinion on the third album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Uplift Mofo Party Plan.

In this album it is clear that the band has diversified the styles of the songs (there even has a song in the reggae style in the intro, Love Trilogy), thus moving away a little more from the funk rock that was so present in Freaky Styley. At the same time I'm sad to lose the funk but I liked the "new" songs.

I thought Slovak was sensational and brought in some maybe metal elements that the band didn't have. Flea introduced a little more of his characteristic way of playing.
I still don't really like the way Kiedis is singing, I feel he's getting better with each record but I know he's going to do a lot more in the next ones, maybe that's why I charge him more on these first records lol.

Every time I listen to this record I like it more, in general this record is superior to its predecessor in terms of musical quality but as I love their funk rock I still haven't been able to choose which one I prefer. So I'm going to give the same rating I gave Freaky Styley.
My grade: 4/10
My favorite songs were: Fight Like A Brave, Me And My Friends, Backwoods.
