Even Though You Feel Kindness Is An Inbuilt Act, Make It A Skill You Wish To Learn.

As for me, I feel kindness is an act which is inbuilt. Once you’re good or kind, you’re kind and there is no manual for it. Some people have almost everything they need in this life and they are still not kind while some people not even have 1% of what they’ve got and their kindness is at its peak. That’s why I tell people that kindness is not about how much someone has or how rich the person is, it is about having the spirit of giving. Not just giving but caring for others and showing them love.

Also, I feel I am always very lucky when it comes to meeting people. I have always been lucky to have kind people around me. This sometimes makes me feel everyone is kind and give them that same treatment even though my kindness is usually taken for granted by some bitter people.

A time someone did something good for me.

After coming out of the NYSC camp, I was posted to Chrisland Schools VGC. At first, I worked with a particular teacher but at the end of every term, the school swaps assistant teachers and puts them in another class. This means that you can’t be the teacher of the same class you were in the previous term. Fortunately, I was told to work under an old staff. I made inquiries about her and I heard good things. I heard she’s nice but very hardworking so needs someone who is hardworking as her so the equation can be balanced.

On my first day of working with her, when it was time to go home, she gave me a ride and dropped me at the nearest junction to my hostel. The second day, she did the same thing and that was how she lifted me for free for the whole of 12wks. When we resumed again, I pleaded to be with the same woman and it worked. She also lifted me for free for another 12wks. That’s the longest free ride I’ve ever gotten. She is part of the factors that was able to help me save up for my business since I was not really spending much on transportation, I had to start saving that money. Any day she knows she wouldn’t be driving me home, she gives me some money for transportation and it is usually more than the amount of money I’m supposed to spend of transportation.

She barely knows me. She doesn’t know any of my family members but chose to help me that much. This also made me realize that your family member are not the only ones you should show kindness to or render some help. It can be a random person and make sure that you do not expect anything in return after you have helped them.
