Science Has Gone Too Far Creating Humanoid Robots But We Need More Of It In Our Education.

Coming online everyday, we tend to see new things that technology has done. It will either do this or that and that’s why I’m not wowed when I see something new online because it is now looking like almost everything is possible including things we never thought could happen. Who ever thought there could be robots that will act like humans? When I saw that, I knew that was the end of it and that there is nothing technology cannot do.

Everyday of our lives, science makes sure that it breaks new records so we should expect more to come and don’t think AI is the height of it all. Technology has been so helpful to us. There was a time when we had to talk to our loved ones through letters and it takes time for it to reach us. As time went on, we had phones even though they were never iPhones or our regular android phones then. We started communicating with whoever we want to speak with anytime we like. That makes sense right? We all are grateful for technology for making life easier. Other examples are counting machines that helps us to count money instead of we having to stress ourselves to count money. Instead of typing, we can easily use Google voice and boom, it will type what we’ve said but science has now gone too far and I’m beginning to feel like it is choking us.

An instance when I can say science has gone too far

I mentioned earlier that we now have some robots that act like humans. They are called humanoid robots and they act exactly as humans. There are robots that can now write articles so perfect and sometimes will make you feel like they were written by humans. There are some robots that are now being used in some workplaces which has caused some companies to lay their staffs off. Honestly, no company will want to pay a human continuously for what a robot they can buy once and forget about the payment can do. It’s now getting worse that people are losing their jobs and left with nothing.

Man has to survive, right? But when the technology that is supposed to be rescuing us and making life easier for us starts to become our rivals at work, it becomes something else. In this way, people will be forced to do other jobs and some people may go for some bad or crazy activities. This will affect us when we finally depend on the AI. It has now gotten to the point that some people don’t chat with iambs again but they chat with robots. Robots don’t have emotions and they are programmed but humans are emotional. Why chat with something that does not have any bit of emotion in it. Some people now prefer to chat with the so called ChatGPT instead of their loved ones and it is gradually making them lose connection with the people they love.

What I feel science should work on

There are thousands of people who wishes to travel outside their countries but they are not opportune to do so. Mostly, they have plans to go there to school and get a degree so they can get better jobs. Fortunately, we now have so many courses online that once you pass, you can tender it in any company and if you are good, you’d be employed. For countries like Nigeria, those kind of certificates are only accepted by a few companies in the country. I’ve done so many courses online that when writing the exams, I could go back to tick the right answer after I already got the answer wrong before and I think this is why so many people do not believe in online courses.

We need the help of science to make it look more real and that at the end of the day, online schooling may take over in every part of the world as long as you can pay the fees and the certificates will also be recognized in every part of the world.
