My Mother's Day Surprise

Happy Mother's Day everyone. I am happy that every mother is rewarded today. To be honest, I don't know what are their surprises for me but it's okay, I am not expecting anything. I'm beyond grateful that my children have greeted me when I woke up this morning.

Let me just give you a throwback last year. When I went back to my room,they welcomed me with their surprises. They bought me cake, make up, perfumes and etc. I felt worthy and blessed because afterall of my hardworks and sacrifices, they haven't forgotten me as their mom. I was very happy not because of their presents, but because of their efforts and thoughtfulness. They care about me so much.

While I was given gifts, my dog was also happy. She i a mother too, so we bought her a special treat of an ice-cream and lechon manok, but after she ate all those, she never left me while I cherished the moment. She felt my happiness, maybe because se felt the love I had from my kids. We love her too and of course, we didn't give her the cake because it's not good for their intestine.

I also surprised my daughter-in-law with balloons and set of chocolates. She almost cried because my son who is her husband didn't remember the special day. That it was only her mother-in-law that treated her like that. But do you know what's the ending? It was my grandchildren who are her children that ate the chocolates. LoL Yet, she was happy seeing my grandchildren happy when they opened it. That's a pure sacrifice and selflessness of a mother. Even if sometimes, we crave foods, we immediately give it to our children and end up us to be hungry because seeing them happy is the most precious moment.

My neighbour was also emotional when she included on my list of course because she's a mother like me. But just like my daughter-in-law, she never thought someone would reward her duty as a mother and it comes from a neighbourhood. She was sad a little that her child and husband didn't remember about this day. She then wished to have thoughtful children like mine.
