Baby Bee; pasos y satisfacción (Esp/Ing)

He escuchado muchas veces que los bebés solo se deben llevar al médico si están enfermos, ese pensamiento es parte del conocimiento popular y me parece que no es lógico porque los niños requieren diagnósticos preventivos que, en muchos casos, pueden salvar sus vidas, mi pequeña es una muestra de eso, de allí que las visitas al pediatra sean fundamentales.

I have heard many times that babies should only be taken to the doctor if they are sick, that thought is part of popular knowledge and it seems to me that it is not logical because children require preventive diagnoses that, in many cases, can save their lives, my little girl is a sample of that, hence visits to the pediatrician are essential.

Cada mes, de forma puntual, asistimos a las consultas para llevar el control del peso, la talla y la circunferencia cefálica, medidas que son vitales, dado el seguimiento riguroso que tenemos por la condición de Alma (craneosinostosis). La niña está creciendo y eso nos tiene contentos, sobre todo, después de realizarle la tomografía de enero, cuyo diagnóstico fue que las suturas se estaban cerrando de forma prematura otra vez.

Every month, on a regular basis, we attend the consultations to monitor weight, height and head circumference, measurements that are vital, given the rigorous follow-up we have for Alma's condition (craniosynostosis). The child is growing and we are very happy about this, especially after the tomography in January, whose diagnosis was that the sutures were closing prematurely again.

Los resultados de esta revisión son alentadores, mi chiquita evoluciona de forma satisfactoria. Como ya le salieron sus dos primeros dientes, la pediatra indicó que debíamos cepillarlos de forma regular para prevenir caries, así que nos evocaremos a eso. Ya le compramos el cepillo, tiene forma de dinosaurio, a ella le encantó.

The results of this check-up are encouraging, my little girl is evolving satisfactorily. As she has her first two teeth, the pediatrician indicated that we should brush them regularly to prevent cavities, so we will keep in mind that. We already bought her the toothbrush, it has a dinosaur shape, she loved it.

Para contribuir con su crecimiento, Alma toma Ferganic Folic, vitaminas y Levocarnitina, a estos medicamentos le añadieron Omega3, este último para su desarrollo mental. Hasta ahora no ha tenido problemas para ingerir sus medicinas, al contrario, lo hace con gran satisfacción como si supiera que son por su salud.

To contribute to her growth, Alma takes Ferganic Folic, vitamins and Levocarnitine, to these medications they added Omega3, the latter for her mental development. So far she has had no problems taking her medications, on the contrary, she does it with great satisfaction as if she knows they are for her health.

Por otra parte, debo resaltar que los bebés se estresan al igual que nosotros, la diferencia radica en que ellos no lo expresan con palabras sino a través del llanto, la irritabilidad y, en el caso de Alma, la alopecia. Después de tres meses de la intervención quirúrgica no le crecía cabello detrás de las orejas, hoy podemos decir que lo superamos sin tratamiento médico. Fe, amor y mucha paciencia.

On the other hand, I must point out that babies get stressed just like us, the difference is that they do not express it with words but through crying, irritability and, in Alma's case, alopecia. Three months after the surgery, no hair was growing behind her ears, today we can say that we overcame it without medical treatment. Faith, love and a lot of patience.

Baby Bee cada día se vuelve más independiente, ya se puede parar sujetándose de una silla o un banco, esto significa que su columna y sus piernas están más fuertes. Quiere estar caminando la sala de la casa, mi espalda está resintiendo el peso y la posición, pero cada actividad ha tenido sus recompensas y eso me reconforta.

Baby Bee is becoming more independent every day, she can stand up and hold on to a chair or bench, this means her spine and legs are stronger. She wants to be walking around the living room, my back is feeling the weight and the position, but every activity has had its rewards and that comforts me.

De igual forma, la terapia en casa es habitual, ahora usamos nuevos estímulos para su rostro (brocha de rubor, cepillo para peinarse y peine). También hemos incorporado otros ejercicios para trabajar la lateralización del cuello, masajes y estiramientos. El proceso ha sido largo, sin embargo, seguimos las indicaciones.

In the same way, therapy at home is common, now we use new stimuli for her face (blush brush, combing brush and comb). We have also incorporated other exercises to work on neck lateralization, massage and stretching. The process has been a long one, however, we follow the indications.

Ser madre es un desafío constante, trato de estar a la altura del compromiso y de la responsabilidad que me ha tocado enfrentar. Alma es una niña hermosa, juguetona y alegre, un ejemplo de valentía y un milagro de la vida. La amo inmensamente y ese afecto especial es el motor que mueve todas mis acciones.

Being a mother is a constant challenge, I try to live up to the commitment and responsibility that I have had to face. Alma is a beautiful, playful and joyful child, an example of courage and a miracle of life. I love her immensely and that special affection is the engine that drives all my actions.
