De festejo con mi tío (Esp/Ing)

Cuando pienso en la palabra felicidad viene a mi mente mi familia, por ello, cada vez que se presenta la oportunidad me reúno con ellos para compartir. Celebrar la vida es una de nuestras actividades favoritas, así que no desaprovechamos la ocasión para festejar el cumpleaños de mi tío.

When I think of the word happiness, my family comes to mind, so whenever the opportunity arises, I get together with them to share. Celebrating life is one of our favorite things to do, so we didn't miss the opportunity to celebrate my uncle's birthday.

Nos alistamos y nos fuimos para la casa de mi abuela materna, cada vez que visito ese espacio me invade la nostalgia, recuerdos gratos pueblan mi mente. La memoria de mi abuela permanece intacta a través de las tradiciones familiares. La recordamos cuando revivimos sus anécdotas e historias, tejemos relatos con palabras, disfruto estar rodeada de mis afectos.

We got ready and left for my maternal grandmother's house, every time I visit that place, nostalgia invades me, pleasant memories populate my mind. My grandmother's memory remains intact through family traditions. We remember her when we relive her anecdotes and stories, we weave stories with words, I enjoy being surrounded by my loved ones.

Por otro lado, se ha vuelto costumbre para los miembros de mi familia retarse en cuestiones gastronómicas, así que mi primo quedó en hacer pizzas, asegurando que quedarían mejor que las que hizo mi tía para su fiesta de cumpleaños. Debo confesar que aunque estaban ricas, mi voto es para mi tía 🤭. Aquellas tenían mucho queso derretido, estaban esponjosas y crujientes, para mí eso es una combinación perfecta. Un punto a favor de mi primo es que su masa tenía un exquisito sabor a cebolla y pimentón, eso le dio un toque único. De igual forma, la cena de ese día estuvo deliciosa.

On the other hand, it has become a habit for my family members to challenge each other in gastronomic matters, so my cousin agreed to make pizzas, assuring that they would be better than the ones my aunt made for her birthday party. I must confess that although they were delicious, my vote goes to my aunt 🤭. Those ones had a lot of melted cheese, they were fluffy and crunchy, to me that's a perfect combination. One point in favor of my cousin is that his dough had an exquisite onion and paprika flavor, that gave it a unique touch. Likewise, dinner that day was delicious.

Un encuentro familiar siempre sirve para mejorar la comunicación, afianzar los lazos afectivos, fortalecer la unión, divertirnos, deshagonarnos y establecer conecciones empáticas. Cuando nos reímos nuestro humor cambia y eso nos ayuda a sobrellevar las vicisitudes diarias.

A family meeting is always useful to improve communication, strengthen bonds of affection, fortify the union, have fun, unwind and establish empathic connections. When we laugh, our mood changes and that helps us to cope with the daily vicissitudes.

La risa es un excelente analgésico y tuvimos en grandes dosis en nuestra reunión. Procuro apoyar a los miembros de mi familia en sus proyectos, tal como ellos lo han hecho conmigo. Si hay algo que nos caracteriza es que también ovacionamos los logros. Debemos sentirnos orgullosos de las metas alcanzadas.

Laughter is an excellent painkiller and we had it in large doses at our reunion. I try to support my family members in their projects, just as they have done with me. If there is one thing that characterizes us, it is that we also cheer for achievements. We should be proud of the goals we have achieved.
