La creatividad

La creatividad tiene muchas formas de manifestarse al ser una cualidad inherente a las producciones artísticas. De allí la tarea de plantear conceptos inéditos al combinar figuras, formas y colores, por más simple que parezca. Cuando un artista está frente a un lienzo o superficie, las ideas confluyen, se establecen cientos de conexiones y las emociones se manifiestan en cada trazo.

La mano - y otras partes del cuerpo con la que se pueda trabajar- empiezan una danza apasionada que culmina con la obra finalizada. Para los que amamos el arte, podemos sentirlo en las venas y la sangre, como una parte importante de nosotros, tanto que lo respiramos tan cerca como nuestra piel. Y es que el arte va más allá de la mera observación, es el disfrute ante el talento creativo expuesto.

Creativity

Creativity has many ways of manifesting itself as an inherent quality in artistic productions. Hence the task of coming up with new concepts by combining figures, shapes and colors, as simple as it may seem. When an artist is in front of a canvas or surface, ideas converge, hundreds of connections are established and emotions are manifested in each stroke.

The hand - and other parts of the body that can be worked with - begin a passionate dance that culminates in the finished work. For those of us who love art, we can feel it in our veins and blood, as an important part of us, so much so that we breathe it as close as our skin. And art goes beyond mere observation, it is the enjoyment of the creative talent on display.

Vivir la obra

La originalidad está implícita, la propuesta artística nos guía al ser una forma genuina de expresión. Mediante la sensibilidad podemos ser capaces de vivir la obra en sus etapas creativas y reconocernos en cada línea, trazo, sombra o pincelada, en definitiva, todo aquello digno de exhibirse ante un público y se destine a la contemplación.

Live the work

Originality is implicit, the artistic proposal guides us as it is a genuine form of expression. Through sensitivity we can be able to live the work in its creative stages and recognize ourselves in each line, stroke, shadow or brushstroke, in short, everything worthy of being exhibited before an audience and intended for contemplation.

Un nuevo mural

En tal sentido, hoy les presento un nuevo mural, esta vez dedicado a los pueblos indígenas. Aquí se resalta la importancia de estos grupos sociales y culturales que constituyen parte de nuestros ancestros. Los indígenas poseen conocimientos profundos sobre la madre tierra, su fauna y su flora, de allí que tengan una habilidad extraordinaria para la gestión de los recursos que nos provee la naturaleza. Este mural se encuentra ubicado en el parque Guaquerí de la cuidad de Cumaná, pintura que hallé mientras recorría este pulmón vegetal.

La figura más resaltante es un indígena ubicado en primer plano, en la zona derecha, la pintura en su rostro evoca su participación en rituales sagrados, ceremonias religiosas o batallas, además, simboliza su mundo espiritual. Estos grupos le rendían tributo y devoción a diferentes dioses asociados con la naturaleza y los elementos, para pedir por la abundancia de las cosechas, la caza y la pesca. Esta práctica cultural y artística, de pintar sus rostros y cuerpos con símbolos, forma parte de las tradiciones de cada grupo étnico y de igual manera sirve para identificarse como miembro de alguna tribu.

A new mural

In this sense, today I present a new mural, this time dedicated to the indigenous peoples. This mural highlights the importance of these social and cultural groups that are part of our ancestors. The indigenous people have deep knowledge about mother earth, its fauna and flora, hence they have an extraordinary ability to manage the resources provided by nature. This mural is located in the Guaquerí Park in the city of Cumaná, a painting I found while walking through this green lung.

The most outstanding figure is an indigenous man located in the foreground, on the right side, the painting on his face evokes his participation in sacred rituals, religious ceremonies or battles, and also symbolizes his spiritual world. These groups paid tribute and devotion to different gods associated with nature and the elements, to ask for abundant harvests, hunting and fishing. This cultural and artistic practice of painting their faces and bodies with symbols is part of the traditions of each ethnic group and also serves to identify themselves as members of a tribe.

Otros elementos

También observamos que posee un collar, ornamento característico que tenía un poder especial, absorben la energía negativa y mantienen alejados a los malos espíritus. De allí que este elemento esté representado en la pintura, dado el carácter simbólico que tenía para ellos.

En el fondo del mural se distingue el hábitat de estos grupos indígenas, la naturaleza viva, un árbol cuyas ramificaciones simbolizan múltiples conexiones, hombre y medio ambiente en una sola entidad. Igualmente se puede apreciar dos pájaros, el más pequeño es un turpial, el ave nacional de Venezuela, con sus característicos colores negro y amarillo. El otro es el azulejo, un ave de gran hermosura y canto melodioso. En cuanto al diseño, se puede decir que es sencillo, pero lleno de gran significado. Los colores elegidos son bastante llamativos, los niños se paraban curiosos a detallarlo.

Other elements

We also observe that it has a necklace, a characteristic ornament that had a special power, absorbing negative energy and keeping away evil spirits. That is why this element is represented in the painting, given the symbolic character it had for them.

The background of the mural shows the habitat of these indigenous groups, the living nature, a tree whose branches symbolize multiple connections, man and environment in a single entity. Two birds can also be appreciated, the smaller one is a turpial, the national bird of Venezuela, with its characteristic black and yellow colors. The other is the azulejo, a bird of great beauty and melodious song. As for the design, it can be said that it is simple, but full of great meaning. The colors chosen are quite eye-catching, the children stood curious to detail it.
