Atravesar por una pandemia en el año 2020 nos acercó mucho más al universo digital, el uso de las redes sociales se magnificó, al punto de volverse una imperiosa necesidad. En un mundo en constante transformación, las innovaciones tecnológicas llegaron para seguir generando luces en cuanto a las formas de interactuar, de comunicar un mensaje y de consumir contenido. Es así como empezó a circular, con mayor impulso, la palabra "podcast", sin embargo, su origen se remonta al 2004, surgió como una innovación para difundir programas radiales.

La primera vez que la escuché desconocía su significado, por ello, quería averiguar más. Unos cuántos documentos en la web disipaban algunas dudas. Entonces ocurrió algo extraordinario, las vueltas del destino, a veces, te colocan en el lugar y momento ideal, me encontré con un flyer interesante de la casa Ramos Sucre, ¿Era una señal o una coincidencia?, anunciaban el inicio de un curso Cómo producir podcast, no dudé en inscribirme para aprender más sobre este tema. La actividad estuvo a cargo del profesor universitario José Marcano Carpintero, quién, además, es locutor de reconocida trayectoria.

Going through a pandemic in the year 2020 brought us much closer to the digital universe, the use of social networks was magnified, to the point of becoming an imperious necessity. In a world in constant transformation, technological innovations came to continue to generate light in terms of ways of interacting, communicating a message and consuming content. This is how the word "podcast" began to circulate, with greater momentum, however, its origin dates back to 2004, it emerged as an innovation to broadcast radio programs.

The first time I heard it, I did not know its meaning, so I wanted to find out more. A few documents on the web dispelled some doubts. Then something extraordinary happened, the twists of fate sometimes put you in the right place at the right time, I found an interesting flyer of the Ramos Sucre house, was it a sign or a coincidence, they announced the start of a course How to produce podcast, I did not hesitate to enroll to learn more about this topic. The activity was in charge of university professor José Marcano Carpintero, who is also a well-known broadcaster.

Como ya mencioné, el podcast fue concebido como una nueva forma de hacer radio, por eso, su enfoque era netamente auditivo, sin embargo, de aquí se desprendió una nueva categoría, la cual tenía imágenes e, incluso, video. No obstante, su formato original, actualmente, ha cobrado un gran auge y consumo masivo. Así, los podcasters hacen uso de su creatividad, manejan plataformas streaming, crean guiones, establecen comunidades, desarrollan conceptos con determinadas estructuras (plantean un tema y le dan forma), producen y editan. En Hive, específicamente en 3speak, he observado
diferentes productos, lo cual me parece extraordinario, yo apenas esbozo algunas ideas para empezar mi programa.

Cuando se crea contenido de esta naturaleza se piensa en la audiencia a la cual va dirigido, cuáles son las características de este público, analizando qué tipo de material ven y escuchan. También se plantean estrategias para llegar a un número significado de personas. Por ello, la proyección y la organización son vitales para enfocarnos en lo que deseamos lograr. Un producto mínimo viable requiere de mucho esfuerzo, el trabajo de edición lleva un tiempo considerable, ya que se quiere que los ruidos intencionales y los efectos de sonido produzcan sensaciones en los espectadores. En este sentido, me pareció interesante que el silencio también sea un elemento valioso, pues aporta ritmo a la narración. Igualmente, a través de su uso puedo crear una atmósfera de suspenso y expectación.

As I already mentioned, the podcast was conceived as a new way of making radio, therefore, its approach was purely auditory, however, from here a new category emerged, which had images and even video. However, its original format has nowadays become very popular and massively consumed. Thus, podcasters make use of their creativity, manage streaming platforms, create scripts, establish communities, develop concepts with certain structures (they propose a topic and give it shape), produce and edit. At Hive, specifically at 3speak, I have observed different products, which I find
different products, which I find extraordinary, I am just sketching some ideas to start my program.

When you create content of this nature, you think about the target audience, what are the characteristics of this audience, analyzing what kind of material they watch and listen to. We also consider strategies to reach a significant number of people. Therefore, projection and organization are vital to focus on what we want to achieve. A minimum viable product requires a lot of effort, the editing work takes considerable time, since we want the intentional noises and sound effects to produce sensations in the viewers. In this sense, I found it interesting that silence is also a valuable element, as it adds rhythm to the narrative. Likewise, through its use I can create an atmosphere of suspense and expectation.

Por otro lado, la aplicación de la técnica vocal (respiración, articulación y colocación) es importante para diseñar un buen producto. La finalidad de ello es despojarlo de la artificialidad, de allí que con los marcadores orales se gane espontaneidad. La improvisación es un recurso que se tiene a la mano, el cual debe ser aprovechado al máximo.

El mundo del podcasting es fascinante, mi meta es continuar aprendiendo y corregir las fallas. Me gustó mucho el curso porque hicimos varios ejercicios de grabación y de edición. Progresivamente, me voy enamorando de mi tono de voz, el cual educo para que sea más agradable al oído. También me agradó compartir conocimientos, nutrirme de los demás siempre será significativo. On the other hand, the application of vocal technique (breathing, articulation and placement) is important to design a good product. The purpose of this is to strip it of artificiality, hence, with oral markers, spontaneity is gained. Improvisation is a resource at hand, which should be used to the fullest.

The world of podcasting is fascinating, my goal is to continue learning and correcting mistakes. I really enjoyed the course because we did several recording and editing exercises. Progressively, I am falling in love with my tone of voice, which I am educating to make it more pleasing to the ear.
