A sign they should have obeyed

"I think we should go hiking; it will be fun, and you know, no one to question us," Jayden said to Smith and Jeffery, popularly called Jeff.

These three boys are high school students at a college in California, United States of America. They are known to be bullies and notorious; they've caused lots of mishaps for teachers who tried to correct them.

Their parents are wealthy, and because of this, the three boys thought they could do what they liked and get away with it since their parents always cleaned up their messes.

"That will be fun when and where we go," Jeff said eagerly.

"Let's go to Nevada; I heard it's fun there; what do you think?" Smith asked.

"Anyways, that's cool; we go tomorrow," Jayden said.

"That means we will be skipping school," Jeff said, looking at both Smith and Jayden's reactions.

"Who is interested in schooling? You know my dad will sure cover our tracks," Jayden said, laughing hysterically.

The next day, the three boys left home but didn't come to school. Their class teacher was worried, so she put a call through to their parents, but their parents didn't care.

Jayden called his father to inform him that he went to Nevada with his friends for hiking, which seems well with his father not minding that the boys skipped school for hiking.

"Let's go into the trees and experience nature; the weather here is peaceful. California is congested," Jeff said, laughing out loud.

"I packed enough drinks for us; this backpack is damn heavy," Smith said, adjusting the backpack on his back as they walked on a footpath.

As they continued walking, they came into the trees. As they walked by, they took pictures of birds and trees and also recorded the chirping sounds of different birds. Suddenly they came to a small hut with the sign "keep out" pasted on the entrance.

"What could be in that small hut?" Jayden asked, moving closer to the hut.

"Can anything scare someone like us?" Smith said, laughing.

"There is a keep-out sign there; I don't think it is safe. Remember, we don't live here," Jeff said.

"Someone is scared, coward," Jayden said, tapping Jeff on his chest.

"I'm not scared; I'm just saying, you never can tell," Jeff replied.

"Well, I'm curious; I want to know what's in there," Smith said as he joined Jayden, who was already moving close to the hut.

"Smith, on your flashlight," Jayden said as he removed the keep-off sign from the door of the small hut.

"Aye, aye boss, flashlight on," Smith replied as he put on his cell phone flashlight.

"Guys, think twice about this; let's just go our way; we don't need to know what's in there," Jeff said in a shaky voice.

"Common dude, what's wrong with you? I thought you were a man," Jayden snapped at Jeff.

"I'm just seventeen; I don't want to die," Jeff said.

"We are all seventeen, so what's the fuss about? Snap out of it and let's go in," Smith replied to Jeff.

"Are you guys ready? I'll open the door at the count of three, one, two, three," Jayden said, and he opened the door after the count of three.

Jayden kicked the door open, and the three boys entered the room, which was so dark and smelly with cobwebs everywhere.

"Damn, this place reeks; when last has anyone been here?" Jayden asked.

"What's this place for?" Smith said as he was trying to remove the cobwebs around his neck.

"See guys, there is an MP3 player here. Is this place a hideout for a rock star or what?" Jeff asked as he was trying to get rid of the cobwebs on the MP3 player, which was covered with cobwebs and dust.

The three guys burst into laughter, and suddenly they heard another voice join in their laughter.

"Wait, I heard something," Smith said.

"Common, it's just the three of us," Jayden said.

"I guess I'm not the only coward after all," Jeff said, and the three boys laughed again, and suddenly Jayden paused.

"I heard it too, Smith. Flash your light here," Jayden said.

As Smith flashed his flashlight in the direction that Jayden requested, they saw a skeleton hung on the wall.

"Oh my God! What the hell on earth is that?" Smith shouted, and they all screamed.

As they are about to run out, the door to the hut suddenly shuts, leaving them stuck inside.

"I want to go home. I just want to go home. Somebody help!" Jeff started shouting.

"Relax, the door will open; let's push," Jayden said as the three of them started pushing the door to open, but to no avail.

"It's no longer funny; somebody help," Smith said.

Something struck the boys, and they all fell on the floor. After several hours of being unconscious, they woke up to see several missed calls on their mobile phones. But unfortunately, the door was still locked, and they couldn't remember anything again.

Finally, the door of the hut was opened but the boys were not in good condition. Luckily, as they were wondering, they finally got to where people came to their rescue and took them to the police station.

When it was 24 hours and the boy's parents didn't see their wards, they reported to the police station, and an investigation began. The police tracked their mobile phones, and it showed that they were in Nevada. A call was put across to the Nevada police department, and they got to know where the three boys were.

Their parents went to get them, and they realized the boys had lost their memories. They were taken to the hospital, yet there has been no recovery. To date, no one knows what happened to Jayden, Smith, and Jeffery.

That's quite scary, sometimes those rich kids think they can temper with anything and go scot free. I feel sorry for Jeff though, those guys are obviously wrong for him. Glad nothing happened to them

A story with a lot of mystery and chills. Apparently the cabin had something supernatural and very powerful.

Thanks for sharing your story.
Good day.
