Looking gorgeous for Thanksgiving Sunday

As a fashionista, your work should reflect in you, and when people see you, they should be able to tell the difference. This is why I decided to look good for yesterday's Sunday Thanksgiving. In my church, every last Sunday of the month is specially dedicated to Thanksgiving. It is a time to come into the presence of the Lord to appreciate him for everything you have received throughout the month. Not to be left out in the beautiful attire my church members will be rocking, I decided to sew a peplum top for myself and my baby girl.

If you belong to a society where dressing well matters, you will understand that, as a lady, you are addressed by the way you dress. Looking beautiful doesn't come from wearing mini skirts or crop tops; it comes from dressing well to complete yourself as a woman. That is why it is important for a lady, whether single or married, to dress well at all times. And as I always say, you don't need a big fabric worth #50,000 or #100,000 before you look good; a simple fabric with good hands on it can make you look exceptional in a gathering with people complimenting you without knowing the price of what you are putting on.

Many ladies in our society today dress to impress, and this is the reason why indecent dresses are all over our society. Thanks to the part of the world I belong to, the Yoruba tribe to be precise, I was brought up in a way that I detest indecent dressing myself because once you step out in bad cloth that does not look responsible enough, you will see someone on your way that will surely correct you and probably give you some advice. Sometimes when I visit my grandma and we see a lady with an indecent dress, my grandma does call the lady and gives her a piece of advice that will make her understand that what she is wearing isn't good enough. This always gives me insight on how to dress decently and still look beautiful because I wouldn't want anyone to call me and give me advice on dressing by the roadside.

The nonchalant attitude of people, especially ladies, in our society today has made it difficult to train a female child because they will want to associate with people and do what their friends are doing just to follow the trend. Parents who don't pay much attention to their female children and do not give them listening ears make it easier for their children or wards to be influenced. Dressing responsibly attracts favor; it presents you well to whoever sees you, and it also attracts good things; people will want to associate themselves with you just because you look responsible.

Thanks to our parents, who are still trying to inculcate good morals in us despite what the world has turned into, while they are trying to uphold our culture, we should also try to keep to their good teachings and project our culture in the right way.

Looking good is not a sin, but while trying to look good and be decent and responsible, sometimes your dressing can show the world who you are not, and changing their minds might be impossible. This can cause someone the fortune of a lifetime. Remember to look good at all times because "the way you are dressed is the way you will be addressed".
