My favorite customer came back

Welcome to another beautiful week of fashion, a week to look good even when the situation in the country says otherwise. All the same, we have to look good at all times. I am a unisex fashion designer, not a tailor, though I style both male and female wear, and this gave me the upper hand in my area more than my other colleagues. Well, I don't take this opportunity for granted because it has paved the way for me countless times, even when I least expected it.

I got most of my male customers via referrals, and it has been awesome because, with the help of God and good packaging, I haven't let them down. I guess this is the secret of my success in this line of business. My favorite male customer brought in chiffon material last Wednesday and requested a trouser and a top. I wonder why he loves chiffon that much as a man. Well, mine is to deliver the good job he paid for. This particular man has been my customer for the past two years, and I've gotten two referrals from him based on the work they see on him. I've been able to remain consistent in giving him the best.

I've learned that customer relationships are very important in keeping a business going and in achieving success in such a business. The right attitude toward your customers determines what accompanies you in your line of business or profession. You can't be rude and expect people to troop in and out of your business center; it takes patience, endurance, good behavior, and technical know-how to sustain a business.

Dressing smart and well no matter the occasion portrays who the inside man is; a rough and shabby dress attracts a rough approach. I sometimes make mistakes, but I don't let my mistakes control me, and I tried as much as possible not to make a mistake that is beyond redemption; that would be disastrous. Not every lady fashion designer is good with men's wear, but I decided to learn how to sew for both genders because I believe it's something I can do. While undergoing my years of apprenticeship, I make sure to pay close attention to how men's wear is sewn compared to female wear because it takes more technicality when making their trousers. Any wrong cut can mess the material up, which may lead to a fight between the fashion designer and the customer.

The pains of apprenticeship might make you want to give up because not everyone can go through the stress, especially if you undergo training under a strict boss like mine. There are times I go home with injuries caused by beating my hands with scissors whenever I make a mistake or he asks a question on how to cut or how to sew and I give a wrong answer. All this pain kept me going, and I made up my mind never to give up until I become a boss of my own when I can decide whether to sew or not. My determination brought out the good in me, and today all the pain I went through has been forgotten.

In our society today, I wonder what dress means to some people. Recently, I had a chat with a customer who wants to get clothes for a wedding ceremony, and she doesn't want to go for cheap ones. She wanted an expensive material worth about #25,000, but she didn't have money for that. When I asked her how she wanted to go about it, her answer shocked me. She wanted to go for a loan just to buy clothes to attend a wedding ceremony that was not closely related to her. I advised her to cut her coat according to her size and manage a lesser-priced material with a good style that would make people wonder how expensive the material could be, but she insisted she needed to look beautiful and be admired by all. Expensive materials don't make one beautiful, but it's good to get expensive at times just to feel comfortable, but not at the expense of your financial limitations.

He has been one of my favorites for two years now, and I've lost count of the clothes I have sewed for him because he always comes back for another one, and I've been able to keep up to his standard by giving him the best whenever he comes around.

You must be really good in what you do before you can get referral am not surprised because I can see what you are doing and they are really good. And good packaging is important as well.

I wish I can learn how to make male clothes too.
We don't have to spend too much to look good and even simple fabric can make one stand out in any occasion.

Well done dear and thanks for sharing 💕💖💃💃🌺

That's a nice outfit, it's good that you can make unisex outfit, you are doing well sis.

I don't really know what is wrong with some people, especially ladies, just because of someone's wedding you want to go for loan, so annoying...... Well may God make her see things differently......
