dCity: Adapt || Improvise || Profit
It's been a long time since I posted a dCity update, as a matter of fact since that one big update that brought us the new UI and the 3rd edition. But that doesn't mean I haven't been playing. In some aspects of the game the term "you snooze you lose" comes to mind. More so in terms of opportunity cost, not upgrading, not buying cards or technologies, which will let you miss out on potential reward.
That being said, snoozing doesn't stop the passive income in this blockchain enabled game. Even more so when holding your SIM instead of selling. In the beginning my SIM holdings were generating mere fractions of HIVE, but now I'm almost at 1 HIVE daily, completely passive.
Another great addition in my opinion are some of the combined cards. Converting my 30 military bases into 3 drone factories pretty much tripled my war income. This helps to compensate with the ever returning high taxes. I still think dCity is profitable regardless of the high taxes, you just have to adapt and roll with the punches. What's your strategy?

3rd edition was pretty blah but I do like how they are adding new aspects to the game such as Pools and Swaps. That now gives the game real use case value which it was starting to lack. Overall the games pretty crazy it's like a city that keeps producing massive amounts of everything!
All the new features also add a bit of complexity to the game, increasing it's overall value as a 'strategy game' as well. It now is something more then just buying cards and seeing what happens.
Oh so much much more, as you get over mid city size and can start wheeling and dealing in Bulks, there´s huge profits to be made just like that, i f.exs sold ALL my stadiums and ProGamers at PEAk in return got a building card in 100´s a card wich since has grown 1/3 in value, while the Stadiums decreased around a third. just that one swing deal and timing, got me hundreds of thousends of SIM,
Get active in the discord and in the community, the game is really alive at the moment, and when it isnt i come in with the flamethrowers!

I definitely follow the discussions on discord. Need to read the market better to start making those swing deals as well, but for now, just collecting daily is already extremely profitable.
