Earning 3 times the Local Average Monthly Wage in 1 Year on Hive

I was recently thinking back on my past year on Hive and an interesting thought came to mind. Specifically how much I have earned the past year and how that compares to the local average monthly salary. I haven't really kept track of this, but based on the 500 HBD I have in my savings now, I'd say I've around 3 times the local monthly average wage in 1 year on Hive.

The monthly average salary is not enough to live comfortably. To do this, I'd have to earn 3 times as much (exactly 500 HBD) per month. From that we can conclude that I am far from being able to do Hive and blogging in general as a full time thing. For that I'd basically have to 10X whatever I do now.

Is that possible? Yes, of course, maybe not in 1 year, but over time, sure. Hive is here to stay, so there is no rush. The value is too good for it to not be able to survive whatever changes come. For now most of my earnings will be going back into my account, to make it grow even faster, and someday soon, the fruits of my patience and strategy will bear themselves.

I have made some mistakes in the past but withdrawing every of my hive token (although, that was because of a pressing issue), but right now I just want to grow my account and be confident enough to have a stake here as well.

Sometimes we make slight mistakes to learn the true value of something. The important thing is that now you are focused on the long term, and it will eventually pay off I believe.

Most importantly, you have a desire to achieve this.

Hey there it's worth persevering and powering up and writing daily. I accumulated a good amount of HP and Hive over three years of solid writing, over 1000 articles of 700 words on average. It only increases on all levels of reward.

Yes indeed, over short periods of time you don't notice the difference in growth as much, but looking back at a year ago, my account has come a long way, and it can only be even better a year from now.

700K words is impressive. I wish I had taken it more seriously in the Steemit days, but better late than never I guess.

Many people leave when the Hive coin is down. They feel like the payout is not worth the effort. However they never account for the fact that the coin may appreciate. I say keep on grinding!

I would actually love for HIVE to go down a bit, so my HP payouts become more before it shoots back past $3.
