I have no idea what callaloo is or what it tastes like, but the way you describe it, it sounds good enough to at least try once. Salted and pickled vegetables are usually good tasting I find. Chees is an interesting addition.

It is pretty good, I am sure it must be in Suriname growing in some bush, just need the island name for it. This and cheese in an omelet I am gonna try soon I have no doubt it will be the bomb dizzle!

It's funny how in some countries people walk past plants that are perfectly edible. This is also the value of so many internationals here on Hive.

Just Googled it, because it looked familiar in the can and it is... It's made with either leaves of the taro plant (which we can find all over in Suriname) and/or water spinach, which we can also find abundantly over here.
