From Fire to Death | A Winning Strategy on Splinterlands

Hello everyone, how have you been? I hope you're all doing well. It's Friday and it's the weekend in my country. Finally, I have got some time off to play Splinterlands. Gladly, I don't have much work to do today, so I decided to play Splinterlands. So I tried to play a few Frontier Ranked matches and for some reasons I was losing for a while. I thought maybe I forgot how to play, but it was because my opponent they had better cards and most of them were levelled up. But I didn't not want to give up that easily. Recently I have been using the Fire element in most of my battles, but this time I decided to switch things up and return to the Death element after a long time. I wasn't sure how it would perform, because I have been using Fire element for a long time. I got fond of fire but situation demands something else and I had to take my chance with death element.
Today, I would like to share one of my recent Frontier Ranked battles with you all.
Match details

Mana: 61
Rulesets: Now You See Me (All units have Camouflage and cannot be directly targeted unless they are in the first position).
Broken Arrows (You cannot summon units with ranged attacks).
Elements: Fire, Death and Dragon. (Available)
My Team
I got opportunity to play with 61 Mana but Ranged cards are going to be unavailable, I decided to build a lineup focused on Melee and Magic damage. Since every card would have Camouflage because of the ruleset, I understood the math that the battle would mostly depend on having a strong frontline while the backline kept dealing damage safely. After using the Fire element for several matches, I felt this was the right time to trust the Death element again.
Summoner

Thalgrimore - All enemy units have -1 Health (Level 1)
1st Position – Nim Guard Captain (Level 1)
2nd Position – Sorrow Harvester (Level 1)
3rd Position – Vengeful Monk (Level 1)
4th Position – Great Bear Druid (Level 1)
5th Position – New Beluroc Aegis (Level 1)
6th Position – Lunaki Howler (Level 1)
How the Battle Went

The battle started with both of us choosing the Death element, so I knew positioning and abilities would make the biggest difference. But the problem was my enemy team had the cards of level 4 which is almost maxed out. I felt the match is being unfair as I don't have levelled up cards. But still my frontline managed to absorb the early attacks while the rest of my monsters slowly breaking my enemy's team. Since the Camouflage ruleset protected my backline, my support monsters stayed alive long enough to keep applying pressure.
As the rounds went on, I could see my strategy working. My enemy started losing monsters one after another while in my team all of my cards remained still at their places. So, as you can see my team took over the control.

The match only lasted four rounds and I secured an honourable victory without giving my enemy any chance to attack me or recover themselves. I am just surprised to see my enemy was not able to defeat any of my cards and I am sure he got frustrated for losing against someone who did not level up their cards.

The match ended and it rewarded me with +20 Rating Points, increasing my rating to 1,360 in Silver II. Now you know that card level doesn't matter if you don't know how to play with them. I am not saying my enemy did not know how to play, I am saying we are always learning and there's no ending to that. Previously, I was losing too but after losing repeatedly, I have learned my lessons.
Looking Ahead
It felt great to return to the Death element after focusing on Fire for so many battles. This win reminded me that sometimes changing your strategy can make a huge difference. I have decided to keep experimenting with different elements and lineups as each time. Let's hope for the best and I want to continue pushing toward Silver I.
