War is a thing that destabilizes human beings in terms of mental health, materials, and life which can cause many people to be homeless and roam the streets.

There was a time when madam Margaret went to the shopping mall to pick one or two things needed at home, after selecting those items and she was about to leave the mall premises, one lady showed up at the entrance of the mall trying to assist her to carry luggage and she said thank you.

And when she got to where her car was parked, she was about to show gratitude to the Lady and she said no but the only thing you can do for me is a job and shelter because I am a stranger here from another country. It was the effects of the ongoing war that made me leave my country. I have a husband and children. I don't know whether they are still alive or not.

-Madam Margaret said Oh my God! How did you manage to leave the country?

She replied that it was helped by the United Nations rescue mission that assisted me to leave the country through their intervention and they were able to take me to a refugee camp since then but the place is not conducive. That was the reason I left there to hustle for myself for day-to-day living.

Your case is so pathetic, enter the vehicle don't worry but let me speak with Johnson (my husband) and I know he would reason with me.

When they got home her husband asked. Who is this woman? But she said she is a friend. Honey, please let us talk inside.

They left this visitor in the living room and both of them went to the bedroom when they got inside, Madam Margaret said that this woman needs our help. She is from our neighbour's country where there is a crisis and it was with the help of the United Nations intervention that she managed to escape from there. They took her to the refugee camp but the conditions of that place are not good for women. That was the reason she left there according to her story. Please, honey, we don't know where our children will be tomorrow and whatever we can do for her as an assistant we are doing it for God. I am very sorry for not informing you before bringing her home. Said Madam Margaret.

Mr Johnson replied Eh! Dear, I wasn't against your opinion toward this woman but come to think of this. She is an adult, mature and pretty Lady for that matter. If it is a little girl it is okay, but a mature lady like this is risky because of you and our children. I want you to think about it very well!

No problem my husband, she is an innocent woman who needs help. You know what I am going to do, I would get her a job so after a while she will save some cash to secure an apartment for herself. Our children can be in the same condition in the future somebody will be the one that would help them. Said Madam Margaret.

Mr Johnson said alright, my beautiful wife, your wish is my command. You know I love you! What is her name?

"Juliet is her name". Said, madam Margaret.

That was how she started living with them and all the care was perfectly done by madam Margaret in such a way no one can know that she is a total stranger.

Madam Margaret used to go to work early in the morning and come in the evening because she was working with the financial institution as the branch manager. Mr Johnson was a businessman, he had a small firm running by himself. He doesn't go out early like his wife, he used to take his children to school and pick them up after school hours.

One day, Mr Johnson fell sick and could not go to work. He had delegated his duty to his assistant manager because this sickness hooked him down to the extent that he was rushed to the nearest hospital for immediate treatment. When they got to the hospital, they moved Mr Johnson to an emergency session where he would be given first aid. Madam Margaret could not wait to see the doctor enabling her to know the nature of her husband's sickness and she asked Juliet to take over from there that she wanted to reach the office and will be back soon but when she got there it was another assignment she has to do at the head office and it will take some days.

She was trying to inform them that her husband was sick and she can not go, but she was told unless she wants to toy with her job.

Meanwhile, she was very supportive of her husband financially. And if she is not working again, who will fill the vacuum. She decided to beg Juliet to stay and take care of Mr Johnson for her, and Juliet said alright ma'am.

While in the other state, she was monitoring her husband on the phone but later she could not get in touch with them again. Instead of spending a week, she was there for more than a month.

After a while, Mr Johnson had been discharged from the hospital and he was cautious not to start work now because he still needed some rest since he has people that are working for him. Said the doctor.

When they got home after the children had gone to school, Mr Johnson and Juliet used to remain at home. She was doing more than expected, to the extent that she was the one that used to lay the bedspread for Mr Johnson.

After a month, she came home to check on her family. Especially her husband to see his level of recovery and have time to do the needful thing as a wife in the family but after a couple of days, she returned to work and was trying to apply for a leave of absence instead of this she received a promotion letter to the higher rank and transfer completely to another state as regional manager of the company.

However, Juliet has started displaying to Mr Johnson as a good and caring person. Temptations began to set in and Mr Johnson was thinking in his mind look at this one pretty, good-looking and with a fine back view. Honestly, she is not bad at all. Later, He called his wife and confided in her that I knew your contribution towards the success of this family. I don't want your job to bring a rift in our relationship and I observed that since Juliet entered this house you have changed totally. You don't give me attention anymore, and to make things work better for us, please I will suggest if you can resign from the organisation you are working presently and join hands with me to run our company together. After all, what I have is your own and likewise also what you have is mine as your legal husband. I need you now more than before Margaret!

Madam Margaret was furious, so what you are insinuating is that I should leave my job to take care of you when I am to reap the reward of my hard work and you are suggesting that I should quit my job. Is not working, try another one.

Mr Johnson did not say anything again he just calmed down and watched because madam Juliet had taken the matter beyond expectations. When he noticed that her mood was okay, he said to her, my love you know I love you from the deepest of my heart. I would do anything to make you happy. If you want to go and resume work in another state please go, I will take care of myself and our children. Your happiness is very important to me. Please don't get mad at me, I just expressed my feelings.

It is okay, I will go and resume work there in the next three days. I will be coming home every weekend and I would beg Juliet to help me take care of you. Said, madam Margaret.

When madam Margaret was about to leave the house, she called Juliet and appreciated what she has done for her family in the past. God will not put you ashamed. Please I still need your assistance again, don't worry I will pay you for the service. What I want you to do for me is that I want you to take care of my husband and the kids, whatever my husband needs please do it for my sake. She left the house for another state to which they posted her.

Initially when she started, the first week, the second week and the third week she came home to meet her family but later, she did not come home at the weekend again as usual and the only thing she used to do was call. And if she comes before whenever Mr Johnson wanted to touch her to make out with her she used to complain about one thing or another. All the time she will be tired and not perform conjugal rights to her husband in bed. Mr Johnson did not talk, he used to calm down and watch.

After some time, Mr Johnson resumed work at his office to manage his business by himself. One day, he hangs out with his associate friends at the nearest club. He was intoxicated with excessive alcohol and managed to leave the club to his home but on getting home, his gateman opened the gate for him and drove in and he said wow! What am I seeing? Beautiful angel on my sofa. Thank God as if you know that I want this thing. That was how he jumped on Juliet who slept on the couch while waiting for him to come so that she could serve his food before going to bed.

Mr Johnson makes love to Juliet and both of them end up sleeping in the living room. The following day, Juliet had woken up, sat down and cried beside Mr Johnson.

Later, Mr Johnson woke up and saw Juliet crying. He said what happened? He saw the way he was undressed with Juliet and wasn't happy. How did it happen? He started to beg Juliet for the act that it was not his intention to do it. Please forgive me, such a thing will not reap itself again and he said that she should not inform madam Margaret about the incident because he loves his wife and his family. He does not want anything to affect his home.

Juliet said it is alright Sir, I won't tell and I know it was not your intention to do it. I forgive you.

Mr Johnson started to treat Juliet special by buying her different things to make her happy. After a month, Madam Margaret, Juliet and Mr Johnson were in the living room watching an episode's movie. Suddenly, Juliet wanted to go and use the bathroom, but she fainted while moving and she was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

When they got there, Doctor said, congratulations madam is one month gone.

What is the meaning? Says madam Margaret.

The doctor replied that she was pregnant. Please, I will advise you not to allow her stress because of her condition and make sure she registers here for the medical check-up.

Madam Margaret was surprised when she had the news. She said so, Juliet has started seeing someone without my knowledge, and I will make sure she leaves my home today.

When they got home, Madam Margaret summoned Juliet to the living room and asked her who was responsible for the pregnancy? Initially, she didn't talk but when pressure on her was beyond normal she opened up that it was Mr Johnson responsible for the pregnancy.

Madam Margaret was shocked, she asked her husband. What she said, is it true Johnson? Tell me, or is she just playing a prank on you?

Mr Johnson faced another side, he was feeling reluctant and shaking said yes, it was a mistake. Please forgive me, Margaret and he knee down for his wife.

"Madam Margaret fell on the sofa and cried so this is how both of you will repay me".

She went to meet her lawyer to file for divorce against her husband, the lawyer advanced her to go and think about it. But while they were in this conversation, somebody met them talking and she knows Margaret and her husband very well but Madam Margaret did not know her.

She was the one who notified Johnson about the decision his wife was about to take and Mr Johnson thanked the woman for the information.

When Margaret came in, she didn't say anything to anyone. She was doing her things alone in the house. Mr Johnson summoned the courage and grabbed her firm from the back and said please forgive me, I know I have hit you. She refused and flew up and didn't talk to me. Leave me alone.

If Mr Johnson goes to the office, he will not be himself again. If the staff enter his office, he will not know. Until he had an accident while driving on the road and was hospitalized.

While in the hospital bed, his wife, Madam Margaret and Juliet used to visit him there.

One day, Margaret went home to get another cloth for Mr Johnson. The gateman didn't lock the gate. And madam Margaret was hearing a noise inside the living room between Juliet and the gateman, she hid in one corner to listen to what they were arguing over.

Gateman was claiming that he is the owner of the unborn baby and Juliet wanted to change their plan to get a huge amount of money from Mr Johnson and run away. But the way Juliet was behaving is like she wanted to transfer his baby to Mr Johnson.

Juliet said wonder shall never end if they are calling the husband you will answer. Do you have money to take care of me and the pregnancy? I am trying to help you so Mr Johnson and his wife have money to train our baby so later when I get enough money from them we would run away. You know, I love you but to enjoy each other is to get money.

Madam Margaret entered the living room and said bravo! Well done, both of you. Juliet, so you can pay me for what I and my husband did for you. We clothed and housed you and God will judge you so my husband is not responsible for your pregnancy. She left and returned to the hospital but before she got to the hospital, Johnson was awake and he was trying to beg Margaret again but she said no, I have forgiven you.

When the doctor discharged Johnson from the hospital, they were heading home and on getting home, Margaret kneeled and begged her husband to forgive her because she also pushed him to do it.

Johnson was surprised, what happened to my wife? I should be begging you not you will be begging me. Let me tell you what happened, I went to the club with my friends but before I left there I was intoxicated and acted under the influence of alcohol. Could you believe I did not know when I made love to her?
Please, dear, this Lady is innocent and I don't want her to think I took advantage of her because of her condition. Let her deliver the baby, please. Said Johnson.

Concerning the pregnancy, it is not our own. Her secret was exposed to me today so you don't need to worry about anything again. Although, I did not do what I was supposed to do for you as your wife. I am very sorry. I have thought about what you discussed with me concerning running our company together and I am promised to contribute my quota to the success of this family. I have resigned my duty from the company to give me time to take care of my family. Said, madam Margaret.

Mr Johnson said I still don't understand, who is responsible for the pregnancy?

It was our gateman Lukman, both of them planned to put the pregnancy on you by doing that you can ask her to terminate it and thereby she can make a demand for a substantial amount of money or better still if you refused to accept the pregnancy, they would use it to blackmail you to money but their plan has failed. So it was a set-up. Said Margaret.

Johnson said so she could do this to us, despite all the care. I warned you initially but you did not listen to me. All the same, thank God I have my wife back. Both of them embrace each other.
