Technology is constantly changing, things are always going to be invented with the intention of making technology easier, better, faster and sometimes cheaper. With crypto and blockchain, technology has been improved with a technique that sometimes incentives the user.

The Dapp is no stranger from the understanding of technology improvement. Dapp means Decentralized application meaning breaking the monopolistic third party boundary that tends to have lots of control. This thereby gives more economical peer-to-peer opportunities.

Can’t thank Satoshi Nakamuto enough for the invention of the blockchain technology, thanks to his ideas and implementation, the blockchain technology is being used for varieties of decentralized stuff. Just like every other decentralized stuff, Dapp uses the blockchain technology to ensure adequate utilization of decentralization.

Unlike our usual centralized everyday apps, Dapps computers are controlled by the people who use it not by people who created it. It’s on a blockchain and decentralized, there is transparency so you can tell when and who used it, from the details in the blockchain.

Dapps are been used for numerous reasons, we can use Hive as an example. They are so many Dapps on Hive and they all different use. All these Dapps were built on Hive’s blockchain and it’s decentralized.

Hive which is an underrated blockchain, hasn’t gotten it’s deserved exposure to make it one of the most valued blockchain in the world yet, so for now the Ethereum blockchain has been dominating as the most used blockchain platform for Dapp.

Dapps give a sense of control to the users rather than to the developers. We can see that with Hive and blogging. Unlike other centralized social media platform, where your post can be deleted or taken down, on Hive your post can’t be deleted or taken down. Centralized Web 2.0 social media platforms like Facebook has been sued numerous times for selling user’s privacy data, but social media Dapps can’t because its autonomous.

To eliminate third party controls, Dapps built on blockchains utilize smart contract. That is, when a particular request is met, a command will be executed. This is free from human error and bias, thereby making the result almost perfect.

The world is driving towards using more Dapps, which will definitely lead to a lot of changes in the technology industry. But the fear of the society is the replacement of human jobs by these Dapps. When more Dapps are implemented and used, majority of jobs will be replaced, which I don’t consider a problem. This is because if the world really want to make the world a better place, it will have to create a means that will be used to compensate humans who get their jobs replaced by Dapp automation. There is enough money and resources to go round, the world just needs to adjust to make sure we all eat.
