HBD Savings: The Only Stable Thing In My Life During This Dip

I can’t help but be grateful for my HBD savings, coupled with the fact that I make 20% APR gives me greater joy. The only advantage of altcoins is that the 20% APR HBD is giving is something that can be achieved within a day on a Bull market because of volatility. So volatility is the risk difference between other cryptocurrencies and StableCoins. Once again, I am grateful for Hive and it’s opportunities, this way I can talk about the market dip, earn money which can be put into HBD savings for auto-compounded earnings and can also be used to buy the dip.

Some of us here on Hive, know how lucky we are to be on this great blockchain platform and the opportunities it presents. HBD(Hive Backed Dollar) being one of the opportunities of Hive is something I am most grateful for. The market has been unfriendly to the bulls lately, but guess who hasn’t been unfriendly to me? Yeah HBD, my HBD doesn’t only stay stable(kinda) in value but also increases in quantity because I placed it on HBD savings.

The Volatility Gamble Scare

When you are buying a coin that isn’t a StableCoin, you are gambling, which is natural because humans are gamblers by nature. We all know that getting a StableCoin with 20% yield is a far lower risk than buying a coin with volatility that presents us with probability of getting >20% profit and also >20% loss. But we will choose the volatile one because we are gamblers by nature.

But then while gambling with crypto volatility, it’s always advisable to also invest in StableCoins, aside for buying the dip, for some stability in your portfolio. This way it keeps your emotion in state of balance, kinda. At least you can’t check your portfolio in 2 hours to see a -5% loss in your portfolio.

Joy In Saving Your HBD

Whoever named the act of putting money aside instead of spending it, savings, did a very great job. Because this has helped healed me from a lot of heart break. The joy of checking your Hive wallet and seeing some HBD in it, just gives you the best feeling indicating you have money somewhere.

Living in a country with high inflation this can help you a lot because it helps you stay steps ahead inflation. When I started blogging on Hive in 2021, $1 was valued for 460 naira, few weeks ago, $1 was valued for 560 naira, today $1 is 600 naira. But your HBD is still 1 HBD and still pegged closed to $1.

I was thinking am the only one feeling grateful for the opportunities in HBD. Saving in HBD has helped me a lot. And I encourage us to do the same. Thanks so kindly for sharing this with the community. We hope to improve more on our savings and earnings more through HBD!

I needed money for something urgent, I borrowed the money else where and withdrew HBD to pay back, I will replace the HBD back when it’s time. Thinking about it, I can’t help but be grateful for HBD opportunities
