2020 hit the world with its Covid-19 pandemic and the world was mandated to observe the mandatory lockdown to stop the spread of the virus. No one once thought that one day, the world at the same time will be locked inside the house for their own safety. This encouraged lots of people into discovering what their digital talent is. Some of them found out they actually prefer doing things inside the house than outside. Some people found skill in tech, some people found skill in content creation and some found out that they can just do things from the internet like clicking a button and it arrives to their doorsteps.

Most people found out that they don’t really like social contact that much, they know for sure that they just want to be indoors doing everything they are meant to do outdoor. So they are no more in desperate need for social contacts. I think I should classify myself as one of those people that don’t really like social contacts that much. I get nervous meeting new people because I don’t know how to act, I am sure lots of people feel this way also. Especially when travelling and getting to meet new people and interacting with the receptionist and employees working in the hotel.

Online Shopping

Before the lockdown, people had a glimpse of the metaverse but didn’t know it is the metaverse through online shopping. Who doesn’t like sitting from the comfort of their home, surf the internet and choose what they want to buy, order it and it gets delivered to their houses. They never understood the full pleasure till COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. This time they had to virtually order everything online and got lots of things done online.

Now the lockdown is over, people want more. People now want to make all the necessary reservations and bookings for a hotel in the metaverse. Imagine a virtual hotel of a physical hotel you want to lodge in on your next vacation. This virtual hotel gets updated based on the current event of the physical hotel. If there is a guest in a particular room you would like to stay, the virtual hotel will have an occupied sign on the room. If the hotel is dirty, the virtual hotel will tell you it’s dirty and not ready to be used yet. You are allowed to enter the room, view the room and everything present in the virtual room of the hotel is the same as the physical.

If it’s possible you can arrange the room just as you want it to be when you arrive there. You can input a digital art that you like to be in the room. This will be very awesome but I don’t know how possible adoption of this trend will be. Imagine choosing your bed sheets, choosing the type of streaming platform available in your room.

Due to social distancing, people don’t want to be touched anymore or want their luggage’s touched, so with interacting with people in the hotel. This way
