I Should Have Read The Terms & Condition
I spent almost one year accumulating the coingeecko candies, this means that I constantly and consistently collected these candies and you know that these Coingecko candies are collected with a streak. Each day has a number of candies you take, the more consistent you get, the higher the number of candies you can collect. I had accumulated about a thousand candies and rumour had it that there is possibilities that they would be Coingecko candies in the future, no one knows, so the best thing to do is accumulate as much as you can.
Coingecko candies are loyalty tokens that can not be bought or sold but rather can be earned through daily claiming, utilities have been generated for Coingecko candies, for instance, few weeks ago access protocol came up with an airdrop program that was claimable with Coingecko candies. I was really excited about it as I was hoping I would claim a valuable token with this Coingecko candies I have been accumulating for months now. So I spent more than half of my coingeco candies to apply for the airdrop. These are the packages of the Access protocol and how many coingeco candies they cost:

Its been weeks and these offers are largely available, that means that people didn’t really care about the airdrop, does that mean that the airdrop is not worth it? Turns out that people are smarter and are preserving their candies for the bigger fish in the future.

Take a look at the number of unclaimed packages left, this means that people dont care about it. So I decided to read the terms and conditions to know more and why people dont really care about it.

So from that highlighted part, these rewards will be staked when dropped and the rewards generated when staked are the ones that can be spent, this is why people didn’t care about. So if the value of the airdrop given to me is $10, I will have to stake and wait for the stake rewards so I can spend it. Details on how long it will be stake wasn’t stated, if I had read this before I exchanged my Coingecko candies for the airdrop I would probably not had done it. Next time read the terms and conditions guys, so you can know what your options are.
