It’s Hard To Enjoy Anything When You Want Everything
This is one of the realest quotes I have seen in a while because I feel like the topic spoke to me directly. I am on this table and I am sure that a lot of us are on this table too. I admire people who know how to enjoy theirselves no matter what, people who are always in the moment. I am sure everyone has a story behind the reason they don’t enjoy anything because they want everything. Most times this feeling comes from a place of lack or huge void in their life.

We all have plans for ourselves and we all want something, ot could be career, relationship or finance. Let’s take career for instance, some people might be working so hard to reach a certain height in career, in this process they always work super hard and focus on the future instead of the present. If as a young banker you are always focused on becoming a manger of the bank someday, you will not enjoy the humbling early days process. It gets to a point that when you attain the manager position, you start setting new challenge for yourself.
In terms of relationships, some of us sometimes use age as a means to judge how good or serious we should be in a certain relationship, be it friendship, or love interest. Some people are also too focused in wanting all that miss out on other little parts of building a good relationship.
Money is the last part, when people said human wants is insatiable, money was at the top of the list. No amount is enough for some people to want to enjoy anything because they placed theirselves in a mental prison. Imagine not wanting to spend your $1k on having fun or making yourself happy because you are waiting for moments when you have made over $20k before you can have fun. Imagine not enjoying little things you can spend money on like getting yourself a new cloth, new shoes or taking yourself on vacation, because you are waiting for when you hit the jackpot so you can do all that and buy yourself a big house and big car and consider yourself wealthy before you can enjoy yourself.

Wanting everything doesn't always end well for us, as we keep chasing a destination that keeps getting further away from us. I think learning to be in the present moment is something that we don't know how to do these days. We're either chasing the future or reminiscing about the past.
Its about being on present and try to enjoy every bit of beauty and merriment offered by the life. One line I read I can remember that goes like,
This encloses a deep understanding of the present and looking for finding pleasure with little possessions and large dreams.
One day something bigger yet to happen.
