The Love Triangle

This is a story about a love triangle between Nkechi, Victor and David. I love this story so much because it shows the reality of being in love, in a relationship and trying to balance friendship.

Nkechi just got admitted into a university of her choice and she was very excited, so excited that she couldn’t wait to resume school. She had prepared herself prior the date to her resumption, she is a beautiful girl who likes attention. She has always wanted to be the outstanding one in a group, all her life she has succeeded in doing that. Did I mention she is also lovable? Yeah, nkechi is very lovable.

Nkechi finally got to the university and while she was looking for a senior to give her a tour round the university, which is as it should be, she met David. David looks like the guy of her dreams, she fell in love with David instantly but being a lady, she felt that David has to make the first move.

David was in his sophomore year but David had some carry over courses, this was because of his excessive partying in his first year. David was the type that you can never have a party without him being there. David was literally the life of the party, David’s dorm room is literally known as the dorm of house party. It’s so bad that David doesn’t have a drinking glass for drinking because he has lots of party red cups in his kitchen. Who needs a drinking glass to drink water when you have a load stack of party red cups?

Nkechi was so excited to attend her first class, she was going to take this psychology course. While seated on this chair, she turned to her left side and saw David, the guy of her dreams, then turned her back and saw another handsome young man with long dreadlocks. The guy with dreadlocks smiled at her and told her “Hi”. The guy with the dreadlocks is named Victor.

Apparently David has a carry over in psychology and needs to retake the course, that’s the reason he was in the class with Nkechi. The psychology lecturer asked an argumentative question and decided to pair students in a group to argue amongst themselves. Nkechi, David and Victor were put in the same group to make an argument. This bonded Nkechi, David and Victor and they all became friends. But David and Victor had this minor frenemy rivalry where they subtly throw savage shades at each other.

David, Nkechi and Victor started finding theirselves in the midst of each other, apparently, they were beginning to have lots of mutual friends. This means that any social gatherings they go to, they end up seeing each other and this always leads to Nkechi having conversations with David and Victor separately. But Nkechi liked David first because that was the first person she met among the two, but David being in his sophomore year, has other friends that he always hung out with. So it was hard for Nkechi to have a spacial time with him.

Victor on the other hand is a cool calm guy, always chilled and not stressed. He is used to having things come easy for him. While he was in the chemistry lab one day, he met Nkechi, they bonded and had this great time together. She found out that she had great things in common with Victor, more common than she ever thought. This made her develop feelings for Victor. That means that Nkechi has feelings for two guys now and she doesn’t know which one of them to pick.

Oh!! I didn’t mention that before Nkechi and Victor had that special bond in the chemistry lab, David and Nkechi started spending some time together because David started inviting Nkechi to parties. Now Nkechi has to do a little secret hiding to spend time with David and Victor but at different times and location. She had both David and Victor on her iPhone’s “Find My Friends” so she can know their locations and be with them at different times.

Quite a player right? Nkechi told her roommates about her love triangle between David and victor. They advised her to choose one but she said she had no idea.
