A Chinese company called MirrorMe Technology presented what it claims to be the fastest humanoid robot in the world, its name is Bolt and yes, it is also reminiscent of Usen Boat, during tests in real environments it reached the 10 m per second mark, to put it in perspective, that is equivalent to about 36 km/h. Elite human speed and sprinting, but this time executed by a life-size bipedal machine.

The Bolt measures 1.75 cm tall, weighs approximately 75 kg and was built with a very clear philosophy, to imitate human biomechanics while pushing its limits. According to the company, the robot uses newly designed joints, advanced cushioning systems and an optimized energy set to maintain continuous power, even at high rotations.

The above allows him to take shorter steps than a human runner, but with an absurdly faster cadence, less amplitude, much more frequency. It's like trading long strides for a machine gun of steps and a promotional demonstration, the company founder ran side by side with the bolt on a treadmill. The human seemed to be at maximum speed. The robot seemed to be just warming up.

MirrorMe Technology claims that their goal was never just to create the world's fastest robot, they talk about something more ambitious, developing what they call super-species robots, machines capable of reaching, equaling or surpassing human abilities through advanced perception, refined motor control and structures specifically designed for performance.

The focus on robotic athletics is not isolated, China has been investing heavily in this area with events dedicated to competitions between humanoids and running records being broken in recent years and when the technology stops being a laboratory curiosity, the real dispute becomes who manages to produce millions, not just demonstrate.
