LMAC: Healing Waters

Greetings @shaka and fellow collage makers. Congratulations to the winners of round #77.

My collage shows the conversion of a body of water that was once used as a commercial site for boat tours. Once this part of the river was no longer used by the boat tours company it was rarely visited by humans. The forest elves discovered the quiet area and found the mud in the river to have curative powers.

They had previous dealings with a disagreeable troll living in a cave nearby. The elves did not know how much trouble he would cause so they tried to disguise the location in an invisible blue light. They plan to use the water as a healing spot to help humanity.

Believing the only thing left to disturb the peacefulness of the water is a huge shark, the sharpest shooter of the elves attempts to kill the shark with his magic arrow but the shark is also a magical animal controlled by the evil troll....

This was my first attempt at this collage but I thought the bluish filter made everything too unclear. Water reflections done in Lunapic.

Template provided by @shaka. This is used for the start of the collage.

The Seagull, Mallard Duck family and Boat Tours Sign are from photos I had previously taken.

In order to submerge the shark deeper in the water, I hand drew more of the water around him. also emphasized the arrow by retracing as it barely showed.

Another nicely illustrated fantasy story by @redheadpei, but you know that you have to continue the story, Jo, I do hope that @shaka provides another photo of a body of water in one of the next challenges ... the story continues 😃

I’m happy you found the story worthy of a continuation. Yes I will have to come up with an ending when @shaka provides another similar water collage to work from.

Hi Jo,
great, I bet the Troll will win, because the shark will only smile if an arrow hits him ... unless the arrow is enchanted 😉

Your collages are beautiful. In the past, I have made some collages, but have done so by cutting out pictures and glueing them to a piece of wood. Making a collage on the computer is above my pay grade at this point, but it is something I would love to be able to do.

Thanks @thebigsweed. @shaka has a fun contest going and you should give it a go. A lot of the collage makers use gimp but using the iPad it doesn’t upload so i use a roundabout way to get a collage starting with https://www.photocollage.com/ to upload the template and go from there.

There are instructions by @quantumg and a post by @eve66 on what you need at Here.

I hope the elves are successfully create a healing environment for humans, we can do with lots. Maybe the trolls can access the healing as well. Do you have fun creating your collage Jo?

Hi Angie. We do need something like this to heal humanity right now. The pandemic is not letting up and seems to be worst with all the variants.

I can tell you had some fun with this one Jo! The shark addition was great and a nice addition to the story! Gotta watch out for them trolls! So far the bridges here seem clear of them but you never know..lol! 😉 💕

For sure we have to be careful crossing any bridges with the trolls on the loose.😄
