DEC seems to be going back to its peg range in Splinterlands

There are multiple tokens in the splinterlands game and dec is one of the tokens that was earlier part of the reward pool however now it has been removed because sps has taken place. Such changes are needed in the game ecosystem I believe because this way things get more exciting however I know that because of this more people are getting sps which can also be the reason for the low price. SPS is the governance coin so I believe the value has to be significant however it is very low these days and in my opinion, the major reason could be the market effect as we are in the bear market. Most of the projects are in a downtrend this time due to the bearish market sentiment however once the situation is better then we can expect the price movement towards the upside.

If the token economy is strong and there is a proper use case in the game then probably we can expect the value to be good and DEC has got a good use case in the game. Even though it is not part of the reward pool but it does not mean that it has lost to the use case. we can use the token to buy almost every asset in the game and that is good because it keeps the token utility on and even soon we are going to get the option to use the token for buying Rift watcher packs. I believe this is going to be a big move in the game and I like additional options for us where we can use the dec to buy the booster pack from this mini edition.

DEC Token Value in uptrend

DEC is I stable coin In the game that means 1000 Dec would be worth $1 but currently it is approximately $0.82 however it is still better because a couple of months back it was not even 70 cents. I have seen the price for DEC when it was almost $0.60 for 1000 tokens and at this price, it seems that DEC is trying to recover its range. This range is the same that 1000 tokens should be worth $1 and it seems like we can see the token going there soon because, in the last month, we can see the uptrend in the token price.

I believe one month is a good time to analyze the price movement above is the snapshot of the chart with one month and here we can see that the token price has grown up significantly. It has gone up to the $0.90 almost and currently trading at $0.82 whereas the lowest we can see at approximately $0.72. Since the pig range is $1 and it is close to being there so may be the case that in the coming months, we are going to see the token reaching there or may be closer to its expected price range.

DEC Token Economy and Use Case

I have gone through some of the discussions happening on the discord server and people are saying that this token is going to be very useful once we have land coming live. I own plots in the game and I also use some DEC to boost while doing the deeds registration so considering that point I believe this has got a better use case in that additional part of the game. I'm not sure how it will be used in lands but it seems that it is going to be a valuable component later and for that reason, it can be a good opportunity to buy more this time when it is still discounted by at least 18%. To be honest I don't know how the functionality of the land will work in the game because the information has not been shared by the team however I expect they should be doing it soon once the functionality goes live.

If their use for the Dec token will grow then I'm sure it will also affect the price because it will be going up so now can be a good opportunity to buy some discounted DEC from the market and wait for the right time when this can be utilized in the game. I have been buying sps rigorously because I am changing my goal and trying to be there as soon as possible and because of this reason I have not been able to buy the dec. Multiple assets in the game are worth buying now because prices are low and with limited resources, I am trying to buy as much as I can however I think I should also pay some attention to the dec the price momentum and its upcoming use case in the game ecosystem. I know that there is an option to use SPS and get DEC as a conversion process and if the price of sps goes low then I can get more dec later. I have never used this option but will surely do once the price improves far the splinter shards and let's see when that happens. This is also a good mechanism in place because this way some tokens are burned which brings a positive effect on the token supply and its overall economy.

So what are your thoughts about the DEC token and do you think it is a good buying opportunity at the moment or it is worth waiting to see if this can become an even more discounted deal in the coming days? I am planning to buy some but not sure when because I do not want to stop my sps accumulation hence Dec would be my second preference for me as of now. I can focus more on the DC once I achieve my SPS goal but I know that it is going to take time since the goal is slightly bigger for me.
