Empowerment through Business

In our lives, we need to do something/work to fulfil our responsibilities and for survival. Some people do jobs and some people choose to do business. Jobs can have multiple categories people can have a job in a common sector or it also in the private sector. When it comes to business many people choose to do something which can be easy but now the market is very competitive. Whatever segment you choose to start as a business you will find a lot of competition there. A similar situation is also there in the job market where getting a job is very difficult. In any business, it is difficult in the early days to set up the work and get profitable but in a job we can start getting the payout from day one.

Some people believe that a job is good because there is no risk in the capital and they can start earning money from the day they start. This is true that with this job you can start earning money without investing any of your capital and when you choose to do business you will have to invest capital to start the business. Now job sector is also not risk-free because many companies are doing layoffs so you never know when you might lose the job. Even in the job, you will have to spend a lot of time and effort to build your reputation and similarly in the business also you need to work hard in the initial days to set up the business.

In my opinion, the job is for a limited period and I am not someone who wants to do a job my entire life. I lost my job during the pandemic lockdown in year 2020 and it was a learning for me not ever rely on my job because I might lose it anytime. Although I now do freelancing it is not a regular job that I used to do before and I have done the regular job for almost five years.

Now I'm not much interested in a job and more in business because I believe that with business I can empower my family. I don't want to spend the entire day doing my job but I am okay to spend more time on my business because this way I will be growing it. Job is a temporary solution unless it is really big and I can earn a lot but it was not like that in my case. I was able to earn which was just enough for my expenses but with businesses I have seen people setting up big empires.

Even I know some of the families around me who have been doing the same business for generations. I don't know if I can set up my business like that but I surely believe that I can set it up in such a way that it will make me earn much more than my job. I wanted to start in 2020 but could not do so because of the pandemic. Now I am going through my family responsibilities and it will take a couple of years for me to fix it. Once my younger son is grown up I will be again working on the thought and make it a reality which I think should be happening after two or three years.

I believe that giving more time to the business is worth it because this way we are investing this time in our business but in the job you are getting paid the same money no matter how much time you give it. Also, you are always at risk of losing your job if you are getting paid more, and during layoff situations, mining companies leave employees who are highly paid. It's like if you don't earn much then your life will not be good but if you earn good then you are at the risk of losing your job if something wrong happens in the market or the company goes through a tough time in the business. So I think why should one spend time on something where stability is always going to be a concern so business can be a good idea? This is my opinion and every individual can think differently which is also right in no way I am saying that a job is not right because a lot of people are doing it so it is right but it is up to our thought process and expectations.
