Strategy for DEC and SPS Goals

The Crypto market is down and splinterlands assets are also affected by the crash. It's obvious because when the entire market is crashing then the entire ecosystem will be affected more or less but it is impacted for sure. I was looking at the prices for DEC tokens after a long time. I used to do it earlier when I was selling the tokens but after the start of the SPS airdrop, I stopped doing this since DEC is one of the tokens that contributes well to the points calculations so I never sold after that. I even used to buy cards using DEC but that is something I also stopped because of the ongoing airdrop and we can not deny the fact that DEC is a token with a lot of utilities. We can buy packs, and cards in the market, and of course trading is an added part that can be used at any time.

While SPS is trading these days at rock bottom price, so DEC is also not left alone and its price has also been dropped a lot. Here is the DEC pricing chart and it has been dropping continuously. I am not sure what is the specific reason for such a big dip in and if this is just the price crash in the entire crypto market then I see this as an opportunity to bag more tokens and later these can be used to buy cards and many other assets in the game.

While I was focused on the SPS but now seems a time to pay some attention to the DEC token. This token is good to buy because of various reasons even if the SPS airdrop is over. Its price was increased significantly because of the airdrop but even now we have the option to stake in pools and buy cards, packs, and other digital assets in the game. There will be no staking benefits if not deposited in the diesel pools but at this price buying now is a good idea and later when the price improves then a good time to buy some nice cards in the game.

As of now, I hold close to 250k DEC and my plan is to buy more tokens and make it double which is half a million and lately 1 million tokens. When the DEC price is low then I can buy more tokens for less price and once the price is grown then for fewer tokens I would be able to buy expensive cards and this way my account's collection power will be good. More collection power means more rewards with the higher league and even a better gaming experience with battles.

Talking about SPS, I have over 13k tokens and I will continue to stake all my remaining airdrop and even daily staking reward but will focus on buying DEC tokens. SPS is a gem in the gaming ecosystem however it's important to keep the account diversified to have a balance and this is why I am making this change.

The price drop is not a concern for me because I am in accumulation mode and at the same time I also try to keep it diversified and which is why follow such strategies. Splinterlands is not going anywhere and I am investing and re-investing to add more value to my game account. Its surely taking time but I am sure that it will be better in the next few years and I am not in hurry to do it. I enjoy the game and whatever I earn, I re-invest so that my gaming and investing experience can be even better and splinterlands is going to be one of the best sources of passive income.
