A Busy Walk to the Mall.

Not fog but smog!

Day by day the air pollution is getting so worse, this is what our city looks like now. Seems like the photo is blurred but it's not. It's the pollution that you are seeing. The winter season is making it look worse.

Winter is not cold here, nowadays it seems annoying to me because I feel like sweating when I go outside even if it's the middle of the winter. This is another side effect of climate change!

I was heading to the mall. This street is a happening place, 24/7 busy. Both sides of the road are full of restaurants and bakery shops. Also, clothes, accessories, and whatnot.

Even if I grabbed a local ride, it took me almost 15 minutes to cross a 10 minutes walking distance. What a pity!

Look at the wave!

This is why Dhaka is called the city of overhead wires. Everywhere you go, you will get to see random wires are hanging from the electric poles. They are mostly internet wires; looks risky but we became used to it.

And the randomness, the waste here and there.

No one cares!

Finally, I have been to the mall. Seems everyone is busy.

This is what life looks like here. It's a struggle to go out. Maybe I feel it more because I hate this crowd and the pollution. But I don't hate this city, this city is part of my identity.

The walk was full of hustle. I was late for my work and it took me almost 2 hours to come back home. I was not in the traffic for 2 hours! But my purpose was served, I also surprisingly meet a friend there. Though the crowd, the pollution, and the traffic made it less interesting but it was a productive day for me.
