You will hardly find anyone in my region who doesn't love tea. It's part of our culture to offer tea to the guest, to hand out having some tea, to pass lonely hours while having tea!

We have so many variations, ways to drink tea; you will be amazed.

I have captured this image a long ago while having tea with some of my closest friends. We call it raw tea, without milk, just adding a small amount of sugar. Well, I'm not a fan of this raw tea but if you visit the campus of the University of Dhaka then it's a must.

Here in Bangladesh, different district and places have their own way of serving tea. For example, you will get flavored tea in many places, fancy five or seven-layer tea in some places, spicy tea, or herbal tea. It's like a discovery for us. Also, many families have their own tradition of serving tea.

'Cha' is the local name of the tea. You may have heard 'chai' which name is popular in India. The best part of Cha is you don't have to pay much for a cup. Just choose a roadside shop and you will get a perfect cup of tea. Though the hygiene will not be good there but the taste will be amazing, I can guarantee you.

The tea culture is so vast, from kids to older people everyone depends on this drink. As you may know, alcoholic drink is not popular here, prohibited in many places. So people adopt this simple drink instead.
