A Walk in the Greenery!
I was planning for a few days to have a family vacation. But unfortunately, we are on another lockdown. I don't know when this will end. Because the death rate is again going very high.
I know these days I'm talking too negatively about life. Believe me, it's really hard to stay positive in this situation. And we are trying our best. What else we can do? We are living in a small apartment, with no green around. Lockdown means we are in a 'home jail situation. That's why I can't reflect much positivity these days.
One good thing happened! We visited our University campus, last week. The universities are still taking online classes so the campus was nearly empty. I walked around the places I used to hang out with my friends many years ago. Well, I don't know if I should say "many years" because it feels like just yesterday! I left this University in 2014. But still, it feels like this was just yesterday. Time Flies!!
As the campus is almost empty so nature took the opportunity. All you can see is green and more green. These large trees are very old, some are almost a hundred years old. You can see the ground is covered with muses. All the trees were like dazzling with Green.

This summer season is the perfect time for the flowering of the trees. As the campus is full of different old, large, and summer trees so I have seen a lot of flowers, and their petals have covered the path. It was such a wonderful experience.
My son usually doesn't get to play in the playground. There's no playground nearby where I live. How unfortunate we are! But here on this campus, on this ground, he was running around. We brought a football also, he was playing with his Dad the whole time we were there. And I? I was just walking around, capturing a few photos, to recall some wonderful memories and to fill my heart with nostalgia!
The last three weeks we had full lockdowns and could only buy groceries on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. We do have a "curfew" now from 18:00h. till the morning hours and Sundays are still full lockdown.
The campus grounds here in Suriname is also very green. We used to have more trees, but unfortunately due to bad planning they removed the trees on the parking lot. Students and other faculty members complained and they wanted to "reverse" the decision, by planting new trees, but it's not the same as it used to be.
I totally got you. Life will never be the same. At least they approve their bad decision and now trying to make it better.
Thanks for sharing this.
That's so true. We'll just have to adapt, remember the good and keep working towards better days 😊.
That's it.
