A walk in the village.

It's been a while I visited an actual village. A village where I can see the genunine, laidback lifestyle of the locals. Fortunately, I recently got the change!

My mom and aunts were planning to visit their parent's house for some land/property share work. They asked me if I would like to tag with them and I surely said yes with a wide smile. Because why not?

It's my maternal grandparent's house. I never got the chance to meet my grandfather, he passed away long before my birth. But I have seen his home, some of his belongings like comb, cloths, shoes.

Let me share how the village looks like. Then I will continue telling you some more story about my grandfather.

This is a farmers village. Everyone ownes crop lands and during winter they dry the rice and hay like this, on the ground. The villages are usually grrner than this, probably the dry winter took away the beauty a little bit.

I went on a long walk with my son and one of my cousine. We left our moms to the house. lol. They were too busy settleing down their land share issues.

On the way, everyone was asking who we are, why we came to the village, and all. We were enjoying the attention!

My grandfather was a well known and reputed on the village. He was also invloved with politics and was a veteran. During our freedom fight in 1971 he was activily invloved in the war freedom force and saved many. We are very proud of him.

The house my grandfather used to live in is 150 years old but still standing strong and are significant for it's architectural beauty. I will share the photos in another post.

This pond is infront of their house and a major source of their fish. Because of the winter it became muddy/greenish. But it usud to be filled with water.

The pond is huge and I have heard that it's more than 100 years old.

I have been to this village a long time ago, probably 20 years. I hardly can rememebr any significant thing but this pond and my gradfathers home.

Not just I enjoyed the nature and lifestyle of the village but as inheritor of them, this visit was so meaningful to me.

I wish to get another oppurtunity to visit the place again.

Have a good day, everyone.

I recently had a similar experience. One or two weeks earlier when I was at my village residence I took a walk around my village and it was a truly wonderful experience. The sun was shining and the birds were singing, creating a peaceful atmosphere. I continued my walk, taking in the sights and sounds of the village. I passed by the local shops, where I saw people chatting and laughing. I also noticed the beautiful flowers and trees that lined the streets. As I walked, I felt a sense of calm and contentment. I was able to appreciate the beauty of my village and the people who live there. It was a truly wonderful experience and I'm glad I took the time to explore my village.

I like your photos; they are really beautiful. Thanks apu! for sharing your experiences..

Great to hear about your experience. It is an opportunity if you could take a walk whenever you can, in a nature or such a place to calm down and find peace. I wish I could do that often.
Sorry for the late reply, was away for a while.
