Shopping at Gausia Market.

Isn't it feel great if you get to shop retail at a wholesale price? The right place to do so is Gausia Market!

From trendy clothes to shoes, from jewelry to cosmetics; everything is available there at a very reasonable price.

Gausia Market is very popular for its great selection of fashion products. It's one of the largest in our country also. If you are looking for affordable products, this is the best place to come.

One of my friends recently got married. She asked for my time to help her choose some bridal jewelry for her big day. And who wouldn't love to respond to such an invitation? It was my pleasure to spend time with her.

We went to buy a few pieces of artificial jewelry but ended up buying many more things.

We first went to the jewelry corner. There were more than 200 small shops packed with imitation jewelry. You may have known that traditionally brides usually wear a good amount of gold jewelry on the wedding day. But as the gold price is too high, so many like to buy some artificial pieces along with the gold jewelry.

The best thing is, the price of everything is quite affordable compared to other places. That's why people all over the country come to shop here.

But the crowd! At the weekend, it's not a good idea to visit this market. You can see, it was hard to move and relaxedly do our shopping.

My friend told that she still didn't purchase her wedding purse. So we move on to the second floor to buy bags and purses. This place usually gets less crowded. Also, it's air-conditioned so quite comfortable.

I'm not sure if because of recent inflation or the wedding season, but everything seemed a little pricy than before. Especially those sparkly purses. We were not sure if we should pay that much but later we decided to after comparing the prices in different shops.

There is a street market right outside the marketplace where the prices of the products are much more reasonable.

Many mid and low-income group visit this market for shopping. Because this place offers to buy a variety of items from local vendors. They often offer great discounts too.

I wouldn't say I loved the shopping experience. The weather was not nice and the crowd was pissing me off. But hanging out with my friend, planning for her wedding, and seeing her after a long time; made me feel good. We enjoyed our meet-up and the shopping was done, that's well what matters.

Have a good day, everyone.

Going to markets on weekends is certainly not a very comfortable experience, but lately I have observed that inflation has cause lesser crowds in every kind of market.

Though not a very comfortable shopping but overall the experience was good. It's worth appreciating

I agree, I see the same here. Not only the market but also the restaurants are also less crowded compared to before.
Thanks for sharing your thought. Have a good day.

Gausia Market appears to be a very popular and hopping place for shopping from the looks of it.🛍 You're not kidding about the jewelry corner shops being packed with merchandise. I zoomed in and took a look at all the shiny bling in your photos. Holy moly! It must take the vendors all night to set up their shops. Crowds are no fun but are expected when you go to a busy market. Hopefully the people were not rude or pushy.😶

Congratulations to your friend on her marriage and to you for being her personal assistant!🌹

By the way, I love the shopping therapy gif on your first photo - very creative! @rem-steem😘

You are very correct. The shops are so full that it's hard to choose only one. lol
We end up buying a few.
And about people, sometimes they are rude, sometimes the shopkeepers also show attitude because it's not a fixed price market. So you can guess the bargaining situation there.
Thanks for your wishes for my friend. And for your appreciation of the gif.
Have a good day :) :)

I'm not sure if because of recent inflation or the wedding season, but everything seemed a little pricy than before

Not only the wedding purse but seems prices of everything had doubled EXCEPT my salary, haha.

We also have that kind of place here where you can buy everything with a cheap price. This is were retailer usually purchase their merchandise. Yet just like in you place, OMG the crowd was too much especially on holiday seasons.

I can relate. The cost of living is sky rocketing only except for our earnings.
I guess, in Asia, the wholesale markets are kind of the same. They are cheap, crowded, and serve the purpose very well.

It's reminds me the of my shopping before flying off to China. Without heavy bargaining the shopping is very tough surrounding the area!
Yeah, for daily necessity, the street's shops are the best to buy🤔

Bargaining is a skill that I lost over the year. Now I find it quite difficult to say the right price. So I mostly avoid this marketplace.
Thanks for the pizza :)

In Bangladesh, Bargaining skill is the only quality that increases over time passes after being fooled by those sellers. But I am astonished that you are losing the skill!🤔

I have not been to such places for quite awhile 😸 I live on the other part of the city now. So I'm not very aware of the actual price of different products and end up saying more price than usual.

Gsudos Market is definitely the place to go! I cannot believe the amount of merchandise that is carried in such small spaces! I really forgot how much gold is typical for their weddings there, but, with the price of gold? That is really unaffordable! I guess it is all relative as the price of everything else is expensive.

There seems to be no slowing down this train, is there?

Shopping would not be fun in the heat and humidity. I am glad you were able to go upstairs and look at the purses. Oh~ Which purse did she end up getting? Isn't it ridiculous that even the most basic things are out of reach?

I am so glad you got to meet up with your friend and give her a hand on her very special day. Your post is awesome! What did you use to make it?

We usually wear at least 30 grams of gold jewelry up to 100 or more at the wedding. Not only that's very costly but also that's very heavy for the bride. But now, people like to invest in other places like receiving cash from their parents or relative rather than gold. That's why wearing artificial jewelry became common.
Yes, the shopping was not very fun but being along with my friend makes it feel good.

I used Canva to create the first photo with the gif.

Thanks for sharing your words. Have a wonderful day.
