The mighty Brahmaputra River | Thursday Travel day!
Do you know, rivers can be differentiated with gender? In our language Bangla, we recognize rivers as male and some others as female. You can guess the reasons; male rivers are more likely impatient and rumbustious, while the female rivers are calmer and meander in their paths.
Brahmaputra River

I had the change to visit this mighty river once and it mesmerized me. Being born and raised in a city, I never had the change to go close with nature. I never build the attachment with the river what usually people have in my countryside. But now I realize what I missed!
I'm sharing some of my moments. I hope you will like it!
We visited Zainul Abedin Museum located in the Mymensingh district of Bangladesh during 2011. The river is just beside the museum. You can guess what an amazing travel experience it was. We were seven friends and enjoyed the whole day beside the river. It was like a picnic. These are some really old memories, filling me with nostalgia!
It was a very winter morning and this part of the river is very calm. Otherwise, this river is known as very impatient and rumbustious!
I found this Scarlet flame passionflower in front of the museum. This was the first time I saw this flower and I was surprised seeing its beauty. It's not a common flower in my country, that's why I didn't know about it. But it surely worth every second of us staring at it!
We planned so many times to visit this wonderful place again but never happened. I don't know if the river looks same after so many years. Because of pollution and all it may not look the same calm & peaceful, I guess. I wish I could visit this place again!
